Anyone remember that old Cary Grant movie called "Death takes a holiday"?

Knowing that at some point in the future, death will be forestalled by God.  If I remember I believe that will be in the latter three and a half years of Tribulation.

Even after the Rapture, death will still continue to sting many people, even the two End Time prophets will succumb.  So for those that survive until then will still have to contend with the anger of Satan and the judgments of God.

I wonder how long this reprieve from death will last, though it will be sought out by many?  Again also the timing and length of time that this will entreat does bring up curious questions.  Hmmm?  :feedback Any thoughts?!

I never saw that movie, sounds interesting.  I noticed Hollywood legend, Kirk Douglas, passed away today at 103 yrs old.  He sure saw a lot during his lifetime.  To think he was 12 yrs old when the Great Depression occurred. Many in the comment section said “what a ride” and “they hope to live that long to”.  The irony is if Kirk lived during early Bible days people back then would have said he died young since most lived a couple hundred years.  But no matter what era you live in ... life still is short compared to eternity.

During the tribulation I don’t understand how man will be happy because of seeing the constant troubles around them and witnessing or hearing about great numbers of people who will continue to die.  Or perhaps they will become desensitize and numb to it all?  And the unsaved will have that selfish “dog eat dog world” and “every man for himself attitude”?  Many will sadly keep rejecting the free gift of eternal life and will want what the AC provides ... perhaps part of the mark is the selling slogan “its the fountain of youth” serum and you will live forever?  Even though things looks horrific now perhaps they are promised surely its going to get better.  But I also think of most of the jobs will be taken away and run by robots so I can’t comprehend why the unsaved will freely want to take the mark of the beast.  But then most of the unsaved have been brainwashed into thinking this life on planet earth is it so they will grasp anything to stay living as long as possible.  But then ... during the judgment of the locusts coming out of the pit of hell to sting man ... they will try to seek death then but it won’t happen ... then I wonder after the 5 months and the torment stops will they change their mind of killing themselves?  Perhaps they will think things will get better again?  They, unfortunately, can’t get saved though because they already have taken the mark of the beast.  They are just dead men walking.

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

In the movie, Cary Grant plays the angel of death.  But when he meets a woman and falls in love with her he neglects his duties and no one dies.

TR I have never seen that movie but that passage in Revelation 9:6 that Geri7 mentioned has always made me think of that movie "Death Becomes Her"
