Most of you have probably heard, or read, the earthly thoughts provided by Dear Abby to her sorrowful constituents. Well, I have problems like the rest of mortal society, the only difference is that I choose to seek a higher level of knowledge than Pauline Phillips (known under the pen name "Abigail Van Buren"). Thus, my appeal below is to my Lord, Creator, Protector, and Savior. Nothing against Dear Abby, but I don’t trust in anybody else. Dear Abba: I am sorry to write to you so soon, but this time it is not on my behalf. I am experiencing trouble yet again with my unsaved family. They are continually reminding me about how ignorant I am to listen to Fox News, to participate in conservative forums, and worst of all, to believe that you are The Way, The Truth, and The Life. They abhor my uninformed opinions, attack my uneducated beliefs, and condescend to me in a such a manner that leaves no doubt that they pity my soul for my ill-advised stupidity. In short, they are ashamed of me because only children should believe in Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland! Although my college education level is in most cases at least equivalent to theirs, somehow, my belief in You has forced them to congregate together to withstand any utterance from my mouth about Your life, sacrifice, brutal torture, and promises to us that You laid down Your Life so that we could live. They want NO part of that! Every day they take their best shots at berating me with accusations that I live in an alternative reality and that I have fallen for the song-and-dance of the just-as-stupid evangelical commentators, conspiracy theorists, and misinformed Christian nuts. As You are aware, this is why I go off on my own most of the time just to avoid confrontation with them. Each day, I calmly attempt to acquiesce to them so that we can have some semblance of peace in our household. I really don’t care that I will lose every little battle to them because I know that I won the war when I accepted YOU into my heart and soul. I just want to be left alone – and when I’m alone, I like to be by myself. But You know all this and now I am just babbling incoherently. My apologies. Today, I lost my self-imposed quiescence as I could not evade one of my children's provocations -- a collegiate scholar relentlessly pursuing me (after I logged off from work) like a heat-seeking-missile. How could I “not watch and trust CNN? CNN is one of the most truthful, factful, and believable outlets on the face of the earth. Studies have been done that show that CNN is more factual and full of integrity than Fox News.” I apologize Lord, but at this, I couldn’t restrain my anger and I responded back. I wanted my child to be a little more skeptical and to ask a few more questions. I didn’t appreciate that this child of mine simply accepts what the liberal media (or the studies, graphs, and charts that they report as the inerrant word of worldly sages) shoves down their sheeple’s throats. So I went off and asked the following questions: It was at this point that I just heard a whoosh in the air and the door slam behind me. How do I deal with this better Abba? What can I say that I haven’t said a hundred times before? I am struggling with today’s attack and really don’t know how to respond. I can't get through to my own family because they have scales on their eyes, plugs in their ears, and opinions that have been formed by lies from the dark side. I will give my family over to you Lord because I can’t save them – only YOU can! And truly Lord, I really believe that there is a multitude of your followers that share my dilemma and have the same question. Please help us Abba! Self proclaimed experts. I challenged them to employ some critical thinking skills. And asked them to try and explain the unnatural hatred and bias against Trump and Christians! Wanting to blame all the ills of mankind on them. Rather than accept any personal responsibilities! TR I suspect CNN may have already received acceptable news copy related to our disappearance, Humbly. I hope those scales on your family's eyes eventually loosen even after we're gone. Satan sure does a great job of blinding people. It just occurred to me. I also suspect most people working in Washington become DC'ved. Nice MWS!! DC’ved = deceived. I agree that the echo chambers of the lamestream media probably already have their scripts written in advance and are just waiting to rejoice with glee to read them on air to the susceptible sheeple when we disappear without a trace. Do you think they might employ their new TRACE technology to look for us? Nah, they will be simply rapturous that we have been Raptured. They will no longer have to fight against us. Humbly Humbly, hang it there! It is but a short time! They will have a time of revealing and your witness will not go out void, that’s a God given promise. Don’t you find it interesting that with this so called new Trace technology and facial recognition, the powers that be can’t locate some of the terror groups who are propagating the horrible events of the last few days? The demonic storms blowing across the face of the Earth should not keep us from remaining focused upon His face! TR So, I wrote this in 2020 and then took a sabbatical for 4 years from watching any type of news and forbidded my family and friends from any conversations about religion or politics. But lo and behold, with the elections here again, the same vitriol and histrionics have reared their ugly head. The only thing that has changed during that time is that it has become truly apparent that this world can't get much more deceived, and we must be at the end -- how can it get much worse?! We're ready Lord -- can you hear us? I'm truly in a bad mood today because I'm still on this earth. Humbly
FYI - I never liked Dear Abby, seemed so condescending in the way she seemed to handle folks who wrote her, often wondered if they were real people. Thankful we have a real Dear Abba
