You've come alongside like family - because you are our family in Christ. It has been a comfort knowing Dan (and I), have been being held up to the throne room for God's mercy, compassion and healing for Dan. Prayer works! When this happened, he could not lift his right leg, or his right arm. His speech was good but slow motion. He ministers each Wednesday at an assisted living facility, and could not engage to call to tell them he'd not be in. After the clot buster in ER, he slowly throughout the day, gained back movement. He passed all the finger/eye/touch/strength tests they give, but his right hand grip was still weak. Today it's strong! In ER, it became apparent that he was having memory difficulties with words. Not remembering things he wanted to say or describe, all day. Last night he went to ICU till this afternoon. Today, he is so much better with word recall. Still catching on words here and there, but much improved. What we didn't know until this evening, is that they are trying to determine from where the stoke originated. If a clot came from the heart area, they go one way in determining medications. If it came from the brain, they choose other medication. He had an echo gram this morning, but no results as yet. They say say it looks good inside his brain. He may be released tomorrow, but maybe that depends on the echo gram results, not sure. He can walk thank the Lord, but will likely need his walker around the house for a time I'm guessing, not knowing yet what the release do's and dont's will be. James prayed for the doctors to know the underlying cause of the clot, and to know how to prevent any more of them. And that is our prayer request now, for God's wisdom to them, for Dan to have just the right medication going forward. We always pray for the Lord to uphold our health, hopefully to the rapture, and re: his family history, this could have been life changing. So, I am so very grateful - We are so grateful for your love, care, support and lifting up of my Dan, and your brother and friend. Hugs and love to you all!!
