California Bill Would Let Children Get COVID-19 Jab Without Parental Approval: California Democrat lawmakers introduced a bill that would allow children to be administered with COVID-19 vaccines without parental consent. Senate Bill 866, also known as the Teens Choose Vaccines Act, has been introduced by state Senators Scott Wiener and Richard Pan. “A minor 12 years of age or older may consent to a vaccine that is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration and meets the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (ACIP) without the consent of the parent or guardian of the minor,” read the proposal. The bill doesn’t mention COVID-19, the disease caused by COVID-19, but refers to human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis B vaccines instead. However, Wiener said COVID-19 vaccination for children is an apparent goal of the bill. And yet, they won't give a child an aspirin without a parent's approval! Sounds to me like they have a rather big lawsuit ahead of them. Satan has his minions working in all areas of society but when it comes to the cold and calloused way that many in the medical profession are behaving it signals to me that we are near the end. I see my neighborhood as a microcosm of what's going on all around us. Three years ago it was a happy place to live. Everyone got along so well and political affiliation didn't cause any division. And now, the division is sharp. People who used to get together every month don't even talk to each other any more. The contentious nature that was once not even a thought is now pervasive. Canadian journalist flees lockdown by vacationing in Florida — then complains about freedom, lack of COVID restrictions: Canadian journalist Josh Freed published an essay on Saturday unironically complaining about a lack of COVID restrictions in Florida after visiting the Sunshine State for vacation. Writing in the Montreal Gazette, Freed explained that he and his wife recently "fled Quebec for a week" — likening himself, in response to harsh lockdown measures in Quebec, to a "refugee" — and jetted off to Florida. Landing in Florida, Freed said, was like arriving on "another planet." He described Florida as "Cowboyland, where you barely know COVID is happening," which he called "lunacy by Canadian standards." "Stores and supermarkets don’t require masks but some cashiers and customers wear them, though often under their nose or chin — Florida-style," Freed observed. "Restaurants are fully open and peeking into some, they’re mobbed. Waiters can choose whether to wear masks, and at least half don’t." Freed even took issue with Florida media, which he complained were not giving sufficient attention to COVID. "You can see the difference in the media, too. In Quebec, COVID totally dominates the news, because there’s almost nothing else happening," Freed wrote. "In Florida, it’s the reverse." He explained that "COVID doesn’t dominate all life" in Florida as opposed to Quebec. "We Montrealers live in a tense, depressing pandemic bubble — all-COVID, all the time — which is why many people avoid following the news," Freed admitted.
