City of 5 Giants - Goliath's Hometown Found! (Gath / Tell es-Safi) Sergio & Rhoda in Israel Aug 30, 2020 Today, we are visiting Tell es-Safi, an excavation site of what is believed to be the ancient city of Gath, the hometown of Goliath, and four other giants. Archaeologists found here monumental structures and large building stones that provide a better understanding of the city where giants once lived. They also found a colossal city gate which could be the gate where David pretended to be a mad man when he was running away from Saul.
