despite my frustration- actually shock- not sure how i can still be shocked these days, though...despite my anger even... i do have compassion on the poor lost souls who do not believe that they are poor...they are full of pride that will lead them down paths of destruction...i'm sad for the deceived, the abused, the hurt and angry who refuse to call on the Lord for healing and help to be made whole....humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up! James 4:10 :flyup: todd- ooooh, yes...i started that book a couple times, but it was too intense for me to handle...but yes...the spiritual darkness is so very thick currently...but we are the light because The Light is in us and we are still here to let Yeshua Hamashiach shine through us! Pray, pray, pray, y'all! He is so faithful to answer our prayers! Delight yourselves in our Lord, trust in faith- remember it's a choice- faith is required before you see the answer- be open to His answer being different than what you want or think is best- trust, trust, trust! ask for His wisdom and believe you will receive it- you will! one step at a time, yoked with Christ Jesus! in the Father's perfect timing, we will step right on up to the clouds! I'll be glad when we are Piercing The Darkness on our way out of here! Those books are some good reads! The world wants violence, so be it … it fits right in with Noah’s day .. the whole world was filled with violence. It was last sign before God instructed Noah to build the ark to hide in from the coming judgment. Genesis 6: 11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. thanks for the reminder, Geri! there's a quote from Joni Eareckson Tada that i saw recently but don't remember exactly, but it was something like "God sometimes allows things He hates in order to accomplish what He loves"...if you know her story it has very personal as well as profound wisdom for all of us and maybe it is fitting with violence no doubt increasing day by day while we are still here... I think it's partly allowed to happen because He knows that there are some who will only call on Him- in genuine repentance and a true desire to be saved from the devastation of sin and to know and be known by the One Who saves (btw Yeshua is "He will save")- when they see violent chaos spreading closer and closer to home, and maybe they will before we go Home and get to join us!
