Sorry about this post but I am having a headache trying to find a good water filter. I don't want to buy anything complicated or expensive for now. The one my ND recommended costs around $400. (  I can't  even remember the name now, that was months ago when  I checked it out)

Any recommendation of a simple water filter or even  something attached to the faucet?

I also want to get rid of lead in the water.

Thank you

Heidi,

The one we have is “Alexa-pure” and we purchased from their web site www.Alexa pure.com or also, patriot supplies carries it. It sits on our kitchen counter and we pour water into it every night. Use it for cooking, coffee, and drinking - it tastes awesome. The beauty of it is that even while we are living in our camper (while my new house is a complete Reno), we have it with us. I love it!

Even with the Reno, we are not putting a whole house system in as this works so well.

Hope this helps Smile

Thank you so much, Tammie.

I checked the  website.  I love it!

I am going to get the pitcher that is for $79. Is that the one you have?

I have the two level metal one that is call the pro water filtration system and I believe it cost about $270.

The hand held pitcher is great as well — it filters 99.9%, out water tastes so good, better than event the Britta that we use to have. :yahoo:

I love water. I could swim all day.

I also love playing with water. It is so much fun washing a car and every now and then turning the hose on someone. :mdrmdr:

I went to the Ontario Science Centre with kids a few years ago, there was a place that had toy ships going through rivers. I was putting ships in the water and enjoying myself more than the kids.
