I'll bet auto insurance companies are still raking in the premiums but not having to pay out many claims. Just sayin.' There's hardly anything else out there to hit. Great news if you are in the auto insurance business...not so good if you work for a company like I do that distributes collision auto parts. What's that saying...? One man's blessing is another man's curse. It's kind of a weird deal when people getting in car accidents is "good for business". We provide a service in a broken, fallen world. Our company, a small 11 billionish international enterprise with over 50,000 employees in North America, has started furloughing and letting people go to try to weather the economic storm creating by Corona. We just took a 10% pay cut across the board for salaried employees and weres just advised we are working remotely through at least May 3rd. Thankful to still have at a job at 90% salary, but hopeful that I won't need it very much longer...if you catch my drift. Maranatha!!! Yeah Watchman35. We'll catch your blessed upward drift all right! :yahoo:  Back in the 70s I had a libertarian friend from Czechoslovakia (at the time) who explained the benefits of destructive forces in a "broken window" theory. Getting rocks thrown through windows benefits the economy by employing many people involved in fixing it again. Maybe kinda like the imagined prosperity benefits of totally destroying Syria. Or Germany and Japan in the mid 1940s... Hmmm. I never fully bought his view as being adequate to prove overall benefit. As the song about Good Time Charlie refrains, "Some gotta win, some gotta lose..." Oh well. In about seven to eight years we'll witness the beginning of THE mother of all reconstruction projects! I just wonder, with Satan chained, if my naive '70s take on the inadequacy of the broken window theory, will finally be recognized worldwide. After all, "...the knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as waters cover the sea." I can't wait!
