I went to the post office on Monday to stock up on more stamps and asked the worker if the post office will be closing or shortening their hours ... she said no. Now I see this article ... the post office might close in June if this virus continues. If it does ... it will affect getting prescription drugs and the presidential election will be postponed as well. I’m hoping we are long gone before June. The only thing well stocked now are the magazines and greeting cards. Nobody is buying those items and if the post office does shut down those cards will be of no use anyway. I got next to the last dish detergent, a box of dog treats (3 boxes were left) and then headed over to the deli to get some cold cuts. The blue lines were in place and signs everywhere “do not come any closer” and “do not touch the glass counter”. You had to shout out your order for the deli worker to hear you. I was wondering how they would give you the meat. When she finished ... I said are you going to throw it to me? She laughed and placed the items on the counter and then said I can come around this way ... stay within the blue lines. :wacko: Hmmm ... will the Census 2020 Survey be used for this ... Seems "they" want us to get us to no personal contact of any kind. Social distancing (commies are calling for this to be more permanent), no physical contact with business = no immediate answers of fixes. Isaiah 26:20 Good grief ... more drama at the Grocery store in town. Its been a few days since I last stopped in. All last week I was tied up with a car dealership trying to get my suv inspected and new tires put on so my shopping was at other stores. Well, the new rule being enforced now at this local grocery store is ... all the aisles are one way and marked with blue tape arrows. If you dare back up your shopping cart to reach for an item you accidentally missed or go down the wrong way in an aisle ... some store workers will embarrass you by screaming you need to follow the blue arrows at all times. While checking out this wacko cashier stopped what he was doing, left his post and walked over to this poor lady who was clueless of their new rules. She had her cart in the main aisle and abandoned her cart and walked down the wrong way to reach for an item and he went into a rage and scolded her. I would hate to see him in action as a REAL cop. The way this is leading I’m expecting indoor traffic signals next. :wacko: Oh and they have a sign on their doors saying they ARE open on Easter - just shorter hours that day. At Walmart on Saturday, they said they have now implemented a new policy across the nation. You have to line up before the store opens, with X's 6 feet apart. Then, when the door opens, they can let in, as I understood it, up to 5 people per 1,000 square feet of the store. Once they hit the limit of store capacity (which fortunately for me we did not since I shop at a large store that is more rural), no one else can enter until someone else leaves the store. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. If you enter the store prematurely, some dude pulls the Lay's potato chip reject lever, you drop about 20 feet, and they recycle you back to the end of the line. Ok, so all but the last two sentences of this post are true. LOL.
