The Lord has given me sanctified lyrics to another secular melody to use as a tool of intercessory prayer in singing over people who drive through the intersection where I hold my rapture warning sign. I hesitated to post it, because I don't want to be a stumbling block to anyone who was deep into ungodly rock music. If you feel this might cause any sort of spiritual issue for you, I respect that and encourage you to skip this post. Please don't violate your conscience before the Lord. If this kind of thing does not pose a problem for you, then I would like to share this with you. After writing the song, with the influence of the Holy Spirit at work, I found it quite surprising how He wove in some deep spiritual truths and His heart into the words. You know, like when you do something, and then you step back to realize there is no way you did that by yourself. Anyway, I am going to post the lyrics and a link to a karaoke version of the song called "Send Her My Love" by Journey back in the 80s. I have renamed it "Reveal Your Son". If you are so inclined, you can play the music and read along with the lyrics (or even sing ). I think you will sense God's heart in it. Journey "Send Her My Love" aka "Reveal Your Son" It won’t be long ‘Til You come again They’re running out of time Grace of God Calls out their name How it hurts Your heart to see them cry You never wanted us to die Chorus: Reveal Your Son…power from on high Reveal Your Son…Truth replaces lies Reveal Your Son Open Eyes Open Ears Help them to understand We owed You so much more Than we could pay Now it’s grace, by faith, in Christ, alone Righteous hearts only in You Chorus Again Bridge: Calling out Your Name Lord Jesus Asking for Your mercy, pleading Save their souls before the darkness falls Out: Reveal, reveal Your Son Power from on high Mercy in the sky Reveal, reveal Your Son The song is by the group called Journey, a rock band from back in the 80s (at least that's when I think this song was popular). As an R&B/Motown kid in my BC years, typical rock music was never really my thing, so I find it very interesting that God would have me rewrite the lyrics to "Send Her My Love" by Journey.
