One of my favorite melodies as an unsaved young teenager was that old song by the group America, Ventura Highway.  As a kid who grew up 20 minutes from the beach in Southern California, I loved hearing that song while driving along the coast.  Something about it just makes me feel free when I listen to it.  Now, some 45 years later, I still love the music.  But now, I have some redeemed lyrics that I can sing to the Lord while on the street with my rapture waring sign!  Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, even if you are like me and don't have such a great voice.  Lol.  Wanted to share this with the family here on RITAN.  Don't have any other family who would understand or appreciate it.  Thanks for enduring me.

Rewritten Lyrics to America's Ventura Highway--Trusting the Savior </p>
Walkin’ down the road of life, waiting for the Lord to show

Tell me, how long before Your trump will blow

Some people say, you won’t be back any mo’

That ain’t true, I know

Trusting the Savior, in the hard times

When the pain is stronger and lasts much longer than sunshine

You’re going show, I know…

‘Cause You promised that You would take us there

To the Father’s house without a care

Jesus ending all despair

We will meet our Savior in the air, in the air

Watching for the Lord to come, calling on Your Holy Name

Thank You Lord, that You will always be the same

Ah c’mon Lord, only You remove our shame

Take our sin Lord, for Your fame

Trusting the Savior, in the hard times

When the pain is stronger and lasts much longer than sunshine

You’re going show, I know…

‘Cause You promised that you would take us there

To the Father’s house without a care

Jesus ending all despair

We will meet our Savior in the air, in the air
