Ugh, another day, yet we’re still here, So many sorrows, tear after tear; Seeking tranquility, searching for relief, Awaiting comfort, but only finding more grief. Helplessly lost and lacking projection, Clearly confused having lost all direction; With wings fatigued and feathers on edge, The lone desire is to light on a ledge. To rest, to recoup, before reentering the fray, To find safe harbor without further delay; Though night descends and the wind becomes stiff, There’s still hope of nestling on some unforeseen cliff. Life is so hard, it takes such a toll, Every waking moment requires digging out of another hole; How much longer Lord, how much more? How much further before we reach that distant shore? Each day is so difficult, so full of angst and strife, It takes all of our energy just to get through another day of life; Holding on, hanging in, reaching out with all of our might, Seems to be a daily recurrence that’s just such an excruciating plight. Please come Lord, come sooner than soon, Rescue us from this toil so we can sing a different tune; We don’t want to carry on, we don’t want to hold down the fort, We’re ready to go, and that is our report! We know you are on the horizon -- standing as a mountain so calm, An aggregate of rocks adorned with trees of palm; You are anchoring our paradise staircased up to skies so blue, And we really don’t want to wait another minute to finally be with you! Come Lord, come quickly -- come fast! Gather us in the air to be with you at last; This life holds nothing for us except for suffering and pain, We have no need or desire to continue to remain. We don’t want to wait another day, today is just fine, We want to smell Heavenly scents of cedar and pine; We have professed our faith in you and we’re barely holding on, Come Lord Jesus, preferably before dawn!! I am soooooooooo ready to leave this earth! Your pal, Humbly oh, Humbly . . no doubt your prayer wonderfully composed in the Spirit of longing, sighs, and watchful essence . . our Lord has spoken, and will speak His SOS upon us, to us, over us .~~~ , for His Promise IS YESSSSSSSSSSS ~ ~ ~ "Rise up, My love, My fair one, And come away. For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. ~ ~Rise up, My love, My fair one, And come away!’” In ultimate love and care, one day soon Christ will say to His Church, “Rise up My love, and come away.” ~ ~ “If I find in myself desiring which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” ~~ — C. S. Lewis Seems our Amazing Father Abba knows best, moving us through this journey on earth, Jesus promising to give us His comfort amidst our destined sejourning of mind and heart and spirit, ~ ~ for: He shall never leave us . . . . . oh, the joys of graduating to our real Home, evermore in the atmosphere of Christ's Glorious Light and Life lasting how long? FOREVER . . . . . ~~ Thank you Humbly — It does feel like each day is harder. But knowing that each of my sisters and brothers are holding on as well helps to keep the focus on our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Can you just imagine our heavenly home is Righteousness, God’s perfect love, peace and joy…. The scepter of His kingdom is the Scepter of righteousness Hebrews 1:8 Soon! :prayer-hands: :yahoo: My Friend - Humbly Irrelevant, That is exactly how I feel. Thank you. My Friend - Donna, That is brilliant quote from C. S. Lewis. Wow! Donna, So Ready, and Tammie: I appreciate you validating what I wrote ... that is why I presumptuously included the "we" part. I figured that there had to be at least somebody else out there struggling with these same thoughts and inner feelings for which I have also been struggling. Thank you! Humbly Humbly, you little scamper you! How ya doing, long time no see, missed you and all the gang muchly, like the old our gang squad, and F Troop but with brains. Read my posted poem which is donated to your inspiration and was attributed by your poem of greatness, we started together in 2007 and we will end together, hopefully sooner than later , no longer later then soon thereafter shortly , but much quicker then soon thereafter! Scott -- good to see you again my old friend. Can you believe it, it's been over 15 years. Dang! Pertaining to your statement ... "... we started together in 2007 and we will end together, hopefully sooner than later, no longer later then soon thereafter shortly, but much quicker then soon thereafter!" ... real quick, and to make this short, derived from grass roots lyrics, sooner or later Jesus will get you, sooner or later, Jesus will win! It feels like we've had to wait a millions years just to live for today. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense in my midnight confessions about all those temptations eyes. Later pal, but hopefully sooner. :good: Humbly
