After the thousand years and Satan is released, how many days will he be given!? Hmmm. TR 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Revelation 20;3 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Revelation 6:11 While it doesn't prove anything, the same expression is also found in the verse cited above. In that case, we are dealing with Tribulation martyrs, and their wait seems to be several years. I think a few months is more likely after the thousand years, however, since we are told the second resurrection occurs after the thousand years are finished. How much exactly is not clear, but I am guessing it wouldn't be seven years extra, or such. Just my opinion. I’m not sure how long a “short season” is but its certainly going to be more than a day or two. 😉 Because ... Is satan the ONLY one allowed out of the bottomless pit for a little season or does he also have the help of the fallen angels as well? Revelation 20:7 He lost his title of “prince of the power of the air” Got kicked out of the 2nd and 3rd heavens in Rev 12:7-13 so he can’t influence by tv, radio, internet, Hollywood movies. So perhaps his new strategy is he simply depends on the rebellious people to spread his lies and false promises? Doesn’t look like everyone is going to be living in the Holy Land ... will the countries be separated by the ocean like it is today or will the land be like it was before the flood ... all clumped together and surrounded by sea water? Satan can’t be everywhere at the same time so I think a “short season” is like the telephone game ... until everyone hears of his false promises ... then his season is over. From this passage in Zechariah the requirement is All nations are to travel to Jerusalem to observe Feast of Tabernacles worship service and those who don’t attend ... then the Lord will withhold rain in their neck of the woods. Zechariah 14:16-17 “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.” It will be heartbreaking watching as the people rebel from (all 4 quarters of the earth) since we spent 1,000 years (ruling and reigning ... I’m sure this includes teaching the millennials about Jesus) and seeing as they march up against the beloved city ... the number as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. A season denotes denotes some months. Perhaps even years! TR In Biblical study we have two seasons mentioned In the Bible we have no reference to spring or autumn; the only seasons mentioned are "summer and winter" (Genesis 8:22; Psalms 74:17; Zechariah 14:8). Winter is the season of rain lasting from November to May. "The winter is past; the rain is over" (Song of Solomon 2:11). The sluggard will not plow by reason of the winter" (Proverbs 20:4). Jesus in speaking of the destruction of Jerusalem says, "Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter" (Matthew 24:20). Paul asks Timothy to "come before winter" (2 Timothy 4:21) as navigation closed then and travel was virtually impossible. Summer is very hot and rainless. "(When) the fig tree .... putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh" (Mark 13:28); "The harvest is past, the summer is ended" (Jeremiah 8:20). It is the season of harvesting and threshing (Daniel 2:35). "He that gathereth in summer is a wise son" (Proverbs 10:5). Take away is a literal Two seasons - Winter and Summer. Per Revelation reference, no direction on timing, possibly only 6-9 months but in Gods timing “A day is as a 1000 years ....” could be 6000-9000 years or longer. It may be we will have the job to stop or intercede his deceptions, won’t affect us, other than the knowing of the potential eternal damnation the lost may suffer. Seem unreal as they may be able to interact with our immortal selves. Should be an interesting time period in any event, we will see, not really a need to speculate at this time, just take God at His Word and continue to rest in Him being on the throne and totally in charge as always. :prayer-hands: :good: “Fair Use” Bible Dictionary 21 And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. No word here on whether the demonic forces are to be released.
And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Revelation 20:8-9
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem and before His elders gloriously. Isaiah 24:21-23
