hi all, i was looking on my profile this morning and saw a category, "friends". i'm not on twitter or facebook and such. what is "friends" here? is it for group messaging or what does it mean? i have used the private message once in awhile when I wasn't sure if what I wrote was too "rabbit trail" off a topic, but wondered if someone else would reply. maybe its better to just post. if its a popularity count, group hug to my sisters and brothers in the Lord :bye: duh, regina I looked on mine, and it showed a couple of mods with whom I am Facebook friends. It's not a popularity contest, though. It simply registers the profiles and links to people you might be FB friends with. If you aren't on FB or Twitter, then you likely won't have anybody showing. I don’t have a FB account so I had to manually “request friendship” or a member sent me a request. If you request a friendship ... they will get an email asking if you want to accept this friendship or not. If they do accept ... then their avatar drops into your friend folder. This then makes it easier to see what they posted if you have been off-line. You can see their activity list by clicking on their name and then their profile pops up. Most post on the main board but there are sub folders too and their posts can get lost in those sub folders. Also when you want to private message that friend, it does make it easy to just click on their name vs typing in their email name. ok, thanks Regina, I don’t have FB either, but as Geri mentioned the process, I will second it. Her and I are friends but as David mentioned, it’s not a popularity thing so no worries. Sometimes, it’s ok to say no to requests, my life is so hectic, I just don’t have the time. Having RITAN in general, has been the highlight of encouragement in my day to day. Having you all on the heaven side will be just about as awesome second only to God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, family, patriarchs, apostles, Easter, Ruth ..... :yahoo: :yes: :prayer-hands: :good: I've never paid much attention to it and quite honestly don't know why the mechanism is even active. From my perspective it doesn't have any function, well, except in the case of Geri7, It allows us to track her every move, text, phone call, location, and conversation with others! 😉 :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: Friends on this site has nothing to do with facebook. Many of the friends I have on here go back to our original RITAN site. I still had to request their friendship on here as it was not a carry over. It is great seeing and reading the posts from so many of my friends from there. See you in the air soon !!! I second that emotion!
