Got some white stuff up here too … I think the total was either 6 or 7 inches. The wind was strong blowing the snow around … but it finally stopped snowing and its calm again and we got sunshine! So thankful for no power outage. We have numerous gingers, a yard full of them. The one that is most fragrant is the white Butterfly ginger and it is my favorite plant. It blooms for 5-6 mos. We have Hidden Ginger, Pinecone, Spiral, Dancing Ladies, Shell, Varigated and Yellow Torch. Dancing Ladies has a mild but very nice fragrance but the others have none. Also fragrant is our Angel Trumpet tree flower. Also Night Blooming Jasmine is lovely and Moon Flower and of course Gardenia...oh and the Plumeria(Frangipani) is very nice I love your pics of snow! So beautiful, so pristine! Carlin's hippy dippy weatherman is still one of my favorites! "Tonight's forecast.....dark. Changing from dark to widely scattered light in the morning." Hilarious stuff! Susan, did you live in Louisiana back in the winter of 2017-2018? If you did then I'm sure you remember the big storm that shut down the entire state. I was driving along the 16 mile bridge going from Baton Rouge to Lafayette when that storm hit. Drove it at 35 mph max and it was just insane! Ice and snow were accumulating on the bridge and there is no turning back. The car kept losing traction and it was nerve racking. The guard rails aren't particularly high and the swamp was a good ways down so if someone went over the railing they were a goner. By the time I got to the end near Breaux Bridge they had shut down all the interstates. My little pack of vehicles were the last ones coming from the east. But God was with me. As I sat with my car idling I grabbed my phone and was able to get one of the last three rooms available at the Holiday Inn Express right there at the exit. It was pristine … until … I brought Dodger out … then he did some artwork … now I have “golden” snow B-) He was sooo happy playing outdoors today. :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: I remember the band of snow was a line from I10 and above. In New Orleans, just a tad south of I10 we only saw a few flakes and they melted as fast as they fell. I thank God He took care of you and kept you safe, Arthur Here in South Eastern VA we got all kinds of stuff from that winter storm that blew through yesterday. No snow, a bit of icy stuff, mostly rain. Temps from 40 to 54, crazy! The wind was so strong, our brick man lost the job he was doing on the front porch, totally wiped it out. We had a flood in the new living room section (it’s not done, just open, the flooring will be sprayed with micro chemicals and dried out before the new floor goes in). I did not move from the couch (in the bump-out on the camper) for 4 hours in fear of us flying away “wizard of Oz fashion” and my daughter lost a small tree in her back yard …. I think we get to play this one all over again this next weekend — what a challenge! Hey! Don’t insult Arthur like that! ??
