The report revealed that a giant cloud of sand rolled into Beijing, which was propelled by strong winds from the north of China. with the current storm being the worst in the series, and is expected to continue in the coming days, impacting central and eastern China. Experts believe that extreme conditions are being fueled by the combination of air pollution and dust from Mongolia, which is currently suffering from a hot and dry spell of weather, being driven by unusually strong winds. The air quality index was reportedly so bad in Beijing that leading officials ordered children, the elderly, and the sick to stay indoors and pleaded with all others to halt nonessential outdoor activities. These storms were said to not be typical sandstorms but were, in fact, dust storms capable of carrying much smaller particles that travel much further, remain suspended longer, and are far more harmful to humans. They called it yellow dust there but it was really toxic chemically laden sand. It used to be that the Gobi desert would have a big sandstorm every 7 years or so. It would blow out over the Pacific Ocean. It was how the tiny little Pacific islands would get added mineral content. So, a natural phenomenon However, within the last 100 years, China has been furiously deforesting Northern China. Consequently, the rainfall plummeted and the Gobi desert greatly expanded. So, now instead of a big sandstorm every 7 years, you now have sandstorms 3, 4 or even 5 times per year! The sand blows over Chinese factories that have zero environmental standards. So, you get extremely toxic sand blowing over the Korean peninsula and Japan. In South Korea, it can get so thick that you literally can't see 10 feet in front of you. There are advisarues for young chdren and the elderly to stay inside. So, this really is the consequence of China destroying their environment. The desert has now approached the outskirts of Beijing. That has scared the corrupt CCP a little as it makes them look bad. So, they are attempting to plant billions of trees to reverse the situation. China is running out of water as it is.
