Oh that’s funny. So I have lived in both GA and FL. My dad was military, been everywhere..... enjoyed GA pecan pie and peaches then Key Lime pie — graduated HS from Key West High, my HS years where rough, swimming every day, wore tube tops and shorts to class.... rough two years for sure. I’m kind of like a box of chocolates when it comes to crayons, you just never know what your gonna get :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: Yep, Prince Harry and Meghan just bought a mansion in Santa Barbara. The prior owner had to take a big loss. Was checking out the pictures of their new dream estate. Nice but they sure wont be living the easy breezy life there for very much longer. If they only knew what is coming .. they think they are safe and secure but are building on sinking sand. They need the Solid Rock (Jesus). As I looked at their estate and grounds I kept thinking of our eternal homes and the beauty of how heaven is going to be ... far more grander than anything our eyes can see down here. Praying a hedge of protection during the storms, Tammie. Glad the Lord is keeping my California brother and my cyber friend safe from the fires, no electrical outages and their drinking water is still a-ok ... no sewage contamination to their drinking water. Appreciate the prayers, we’ve experienced more tornadoes of late than the 30 plus yrs of living here. And to think, I said I would never live in tornado ally. Well still goes to show you, never say never. Prayed for your brother and friend in CA. Mind you now, I m not looking for much of an abode (leaving it totally up to the Father) as I seriously plan on being a meet and greet person and gallivant throughout the know existence of creation. I just love to travel and have sorely missed doing that these last two years. After spending a bit with everyone I already know, it’s off to explore—— so exciting to think this will soon be the new reality for us! :yahoo: :prayer-hands: :amen: white linen ... white lace and promises .... We've only just begun ... to live ... Karen Carpenter— so sad! Too think I wanted to be like her, had the long, long hair, skinny self (that was the look, twiggy): boy that was long, long ago .... memory lane or glitch in the matrix :mdrmdr: Yep, very sad. I became a huge fan after she died ... pretty much got all her songs - first it was in the format of cassette tapes and albums ... then a do over in CD’s. I hope she became a believer before she died. I read she, Richard and parents belonged to the Downey United Methodist Church. I’m not familiar with their beliefs? Truly so much to look forward to! Not to mention shedding our Earth suits and escaping the curse! And that is just the beginning! Glad that God is so tactile and provide wonders to occupy us! And most importantly having personal access to the living God! TR Earth suits! Love it! TxThom refers to them as "meat bags" :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr: From an old Star Trek, “ugly bags of mostly water” —- truer words not spoken! Just need to go home! :prayer-hands: Home is just over the hill and around the bend! TR
The verse that comes to my mind (I watch extreme homes) is 1 Corinthians 2:9 “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” it will be so totally beyond our most georgeous mansions, flawless and to perfection.
