I have seen a few funny slang names used on this forum lately so I thought, just for fun, I would list a few of them:

Debbie Downer
Selfish Sally
Penny Positive

What others do you know?

LOL  are you making fun of mood swing names? :calvin

For some strange reason there are more female names that seem to make the list :mail: than males.  Why is that?  I reckon you’re going to plead the 5th.  B-)

Here’s a few ...

Rambling Rose

Negative Nancy

Nervous Nellie

Meddling Margaret

Marge in Charge

Impatient Irene

Little Susie Homemaker

Pessimistic Patty

Lonely Larry

Grumpy Gills

Starvin Marvin

Anybody else wish to share?

Doubting Thomas

Gloomy Gus, Bernie Bummer, Bitter Bear, Johnny Rain Cloud are all the male version of a  “Debbie Downer”

Good-Time Charlie: a hedonist

Sloppy Joe - a cook who makes sloppy joe sandwiches, also someone who is messy

Handy Andy: a person with useful skills

Jack-the-lad: an arrogant, carefree young man

Joe Cool: someone who presents a fashionable or unflappable person

Merry Andrew: a clownish person

Peeping Tom

Simple Simon: a gullible, unintelligent person

Smart Aleck (or “smart alec”): a know-it-all

Speaking about Uncle ...

“Bob’s your Uncle” - this is a popular phrase in the  United Kingdom. It means “and there it is” or “there you have it”

”Farty Marty” - has a party and all the farts were there

of course, they had to make the female version :negative:

”Tutti Fruity” - laid a beauty and they all went out for air

Last night my dog had a flatulence problem once more. 🙁   I might have to start calling him “Marty”... I only gave him 1 cheese ravioli ... so that’s now off limits for him. :mail:

Disco Dave - D.J. at a nightclub

Prima Donna

Lazy Susan - small wooden rotating tray but originally it referred to a slow waiter.

“Thomas Jefferson invented the lazy Susan in the 18th century, though they were referred to as dumbwaiters at that time. It is said that Jefferson invented the lazy Susan because his daughter complained she was always served last at the table and, as a result, never found herself full when leaving the table.”

- Fair Use -
