Maybe it wasn't Paul, but the translators......... I just happened upon a channel that has several relatively short videos suggesting Ascension Day. Update: I started watching. They appear to be based on astrology and numbers. Therefore, I don't understand any of it. I'll have to wait for Bob to finish his nap to watch with me and explain. This guy reckons the rapture won’t happen in the one next hundred years. maybe your friend has a lot of attachment to this world. Hahaha! Thanks Heidi for quoting the sentence that I messed up... I was trying to say "next one hundred years". Humility is a good thing though! The man in question is actually very 'religious'. Goes to church three times a week, memorizes scripture and so on. However, I know where he misses it: if you get God's law hammered into you time after time, the good news of the grace of the Lord Jesus is just too good to be true. The (rather obscure) point I was trying to make is that if we focus on the legal requirements of the Old Covenant and not on the marvelous love made available to us in the New Covenant, then God's mercy is far away. True love and our blessed hope become less important and even fade into the distance. That's because the law makes you self-conscious instead of being Christ-conscious. Come Lord Jesus!
