Matthew chapter 24 is written for those who will be living during Daniel's 70th Week, or The Tribulation, not for those in the Age of Grace. At the time that the disciples asked Him 3“Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus' answer did not bring up the idea of the "church:" as that would not have made much sense to them at that time. They still didn't understand that the Savior had to die. So what Jesus was telling them was what would happen prior to His Second Coming. "Eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage" signifies that people will go on living as if they will live forever, just like people do today. The verse doesn't actually say anything about "business as usual". That is something we have always thought was implied but that is not what it says. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Also, the next two verses are NOT rapture verses, as Geri has pointed out, they are Goat and Sheep judgement verses, :
40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
It sounds exactly like what will happen during the Rapture event but this verse is way out of context for it to mean that.
The big take away from Matthew 24 is that it was not written for the Church but for the remnant Believers during the Tribulation.

This weekend I was watching a couple of Mark Biltz's Youtube postings on the creation calendar.  It was very interesting.  He noted, as others have suggested, that Abram was 75 years old when God called him out of Ur of the Chaldees and told to go to Canaan where God would make him a great nation. (Genesis 12:1-5)  Biltz and others indicated that Abram was born in the year 1,948 A.M. (Anno Mundi-Creation).  Therefore, based on this supposition, Abram came into the promised land, Canaan, in year 2023 A.M (1,948+75).   What I find as a curious coincidence is the fact that under our Gregorian calendar, the nation of Israel, was raised up as a nation following the second exile, the Diaspora exile, in Gregorian year 1,948.  Interesting: Abram, the representative of the formation of a new nation which physically represented the Hebrew, now Jewish nation was technically formed in 1,948 A.M. and now the new nation of Israel was re-formed in 1,948. Different calendars..counterpoints in time.   Just a coincidence?

If God gave Abram, subsequently  Abraham, the promised land in 2,023 A.M. would this suggest that God is going give the promised land to "remnant Israel" (Rev. 12:17, 14:12, 20:5) beginning in 2,023 A.D?  Are God's promises to Abraham to be commenced and strengthened during Daniel's 70th week?   Most of you may not know, but I do not believe the Scriptures support the proposition that "the covenant" of Daniel 9:27 is a Satanic covenant for muriads of sound and supported biblical reasons.  Surely, the AC will enter into a league with the High Priest as is suggested in Daniel 11 resulting in the abomination, but Daniel 9's covenant must be the re-institution, the strengthening, and confirming of the suspended yet deferred Abrahamic promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob AND "remnant Israel" (Romans 9:6, 27; 11:26) following the departure of the Body of Christ.

So, given the coincidence  suggested by year 2,023 A.D., if accurate and not a coincidence, but rather divine appointment, then this would be another proof  that year 2,022 is the year of the Resurrection/Rapture event, then end of the Age and the fullness of the Gentiles.

Just the musings of an old gray haired son of the Most High God.

Donna:  For me, the literal meaning of the days of Noah, based on Scripture suggests that:

1.   The Adamic gene pool had been contaminated with fallen angel DNA. (Genesis 6:1-4)  Noah was perfect in his generations. (Genesis 6:9)  Note: perfect in his generations distinguishes Noah's genetic material as Adamic, not tainted by the DNA of the fallen angelic host described in the preceding verses.

2.   God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)

3.   Noah's generation represented "scoffers" because he preached for 120 years before the flood.  No one expected sudden destruction.  Noah was a preacher of righteousness. (2 Peter 2:5)

So, we just need to look around for similar circumstances:

a.   Man has begun fiddling around with the human genome again.  DNA and AI integration.

b.   Man's heart has become woefully wicked in the last 70 years.  Self-evident.

c.   This generation is full of scoffers.  Nobody, except the Christ's own, expect God's impending judgment on the world.

Days of Lot:  This is just in our faces constantly.  We see all kinds of evidence of the reprobate mind. (Romans 1)  Lot was vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked. (2  Peter 2:7)
