The Thrillogy (Part 1) The (PH)ILIAD & the (G)ODYSSEY Philiad : God, first of all, why did you name me Philiad? Why not a name that inspires reverence like Secretariat, or Affirmed, or Seattle Slew? GODyssey : My little Philly -- I named you this because of your valiant performance while being ridden by our hero Achilles in Homer’s epic poems. Because of your many years of faithful perseverance, Achilles finally renounced his pagan Greek religion and died a Christian Martyr. He led many of the Greeks, and the opposing soldiers of Troy, into Paradise instead of Hades. I am as proud of you as I am of Balaam's donkey! Thus, you are aptly named Philiad. Philiad : Thank you for the clarification, Lord. I sure do miss Achilles. I wish to be ridden by him again soon in the golden fields of Heaven. God, with my desire so great, why are you taking forever to Rapture us? GODyssey : My dear child, one of your 1000 years on earth is only a day for me in Heaven. Be patient, the time is almost at hand. I repeat, BE PATIENT! Philiad : But evil runs rampant and seems to be prevailing! This doesn’t seem fair. GODyssey : Fair? Was it fair for Me to have to send my only begotten Son to hang on a Cross for all of your sins? Was it fair for Him to live a perfect life in order to willingly suffer a perfectly torturous and humiliating death because you couldn't refrain from your sins, trespasses, transgressions, iniquities, and selfishness? Was it fair for your Saviour to be mocked and to have a spear thrust into His side when it was He who was with Me at the creation of the Universe before Time, Earth, or you existed? Was this “fair”? Philiad : No, but I just don’t understand why Good can’t prevail now over evil? Why can't depraved society be judged now? GODyssey : That is because My ways are above your ways. Evil currently has its rewards that will evaporate come Judgment Day. They will receive their Just reward -- an eternity in flames and anguish with no relief. But you -- you'll be receiving your Eternal rewards soon that will remain shiny and resplendent forever, with Joy and Happiness everlasting! Philiad : Soon? How soon is "soon" because we’ve been hearing "soon" for years now? GODyssey : I know you have, but you must remain patient because I am reaching out to the last remaining lost souls who I will not allow to perish without one last chance to change their eternal destiny. I promise you, I have it all under control, and the delay will be worth it. Philiad : But why did so many timelines from the past (including those in 2008), that seemed so perfect, pass us by? Passover? First Fruits? Pentecost? Rosh Hashanna? Hannukah? Christmas? New Years? GODyssey : Although those seemed perfect in your human eyes, they weren't "perfect" in my Eternal Plans. Don’t worry, the Rapture will occur at the PERFECT time, trust Me. It may be on a Jewish Holy Feast Day, and it may not. Don't worry about the day or the hour, for you already know that you are now in THE Season. Just be ready at every moment! Philiad : I trust you Lord, but I don’t think I can last much longer. GODyssey : I will give you the strength to endure, just keep the Faith, day-by-day. It won't be much longer -- for the props and characters are arranged behind the scenes and the curtain is ready to be raised. Philiad : And what about all those dreams, visions, revelations, etc. that so many Christians have been experiencing and keep experiencing? GODyssey : You are commanded to use discernment: some of those revelations were from Me, and some of them weren’t. DISCERNMENT is imperative if you wish to keep your sanity and remain focused on Heaven and not this world. If something does not align with My Word, or give glory to Me, then it is not from Me. Beware of those who seek attention and self-exaltation but do not edify their Brethren with their vain words that swirl like hay in a windstorm. If their word does not come to pass, then they have not heard from Me. My Word is Sure and will not come back void! Philiad : Okay God, I will remain faithful, I will temper my patience, I will continue to fight the good fight, and I will not be blown around by the tempests caused by my lack of discernment. I am still going to be looking up every day for You to come though! GODyssey : Keep looking up because your Redemption surely draweth nigh. My Will be done SOON! Peace be unto you and I will see you and your faithful Brethren at the Wedding. Everything is prepared, and the Bridegroom is about to call for His Bride. Keep looking up I say, and listen for the Shofar. I will come quickly! :prayer-hands: Thank you a Humbly— I really appreciate the part about dreams and visions, as it reminded me that many will come speaking false revelations. Stay focused, prayerful, busy doing His Will, always watching :prayer-hands: Thank you again, Tammie, for your encouragement -- I can't tell you in words how much that means to me. Although I consider myself a strong individual, do well in my professional life, and receive respect from my family, co-horts at work, friends, and neighbors -- I really don't receive much happiness from all of that. I am surrounded by ungodly people everywhere I turn. That is why I have always enjoyed coming to this forum as a "release". I just hope anything that I ever could write and post could reach out and touch just one person that is indecisive, or confused, or lost, or on the fence -- just one single individual that my words given to me from Above could make them feel better, have a higher hope, or a deeper appreciation for things to come in the next world. This world is hard, it is depraved, it is unforgiving, it is vengeful, vindictive, repulsive, repugnant, and totally oppobrious!!! We all feel that. But not all of us KNOW that there is a Paradise out there and Jesus is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE. All we need to do is believe that and we are saved. Nothing further required on our part. We can't buy our way, bully our way, cheat our way, lie our way, or explain our way into Heaven. It is ONLY through Jesus! Amen. I apologize, I am rambling again. I can totally relate to your second paragraph, I even work as a executive professional in a “religious” healthcare organization and see the hypocrisy of what being religious means. It is always refreshing to step away from the oppression of the world events and join a family of like minded watchers, to receive and prayerfully give encouragement, that acknowledges I am not crazy (well maybe a bit :wacko: ) and truly see that our beloved Savior is at the door, and we are so very soon out of this evil.... so, seriously, thank you to all of RITAN for just being here :yahoo: :prayer-hands: Humbly, Hang in there ... like what Tammie said we are almost out of here. The finish line is within reach!!!! I agree this world is vexing all of us and I’m also glad for this safe place to fellowship at with like-minded believers. You have such a gift with your writings. Thank you for your ministry of uplifting us. Perhaps you might want to make copies and leave some of your poems in your desk at work, in your vehicle, at home, etc. so the left behind can easily find them and read.
