Do Raymond, I’m not going to spend an hour listening to the sermon you posted but if it is to back your previous post then I don’t see the point. You are correct in stating that the Church does not need a temple because the Holy Spirit indwells believers but by the same token, God is not finished with the Nation of Israel and they, according to Scripture, will rebuild their temple. Do Raymond wrote: When the Temple was destroyed, Matthew 24 was clearly fulfilled in 70 AD. The Abomination of desolation is the Roman Armies that surrounded and destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD No, it wasn't fulfilled then. There is a lot more in Matthew 24 which has not been fulfilled, obviously. For example, Christ has not returned in power and glory. Yes, the second temple was destroyed by the Romans. 1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2 Corinthians 2:1-4 This is for a temple that has not yet come into existence. Nobody is saying Israel needs a temple; they need Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, they WILL build one, and it will be defiled by the Abomination of Desolation, 1260 days before Christ sets foot upon the Mount of Olives. The flight of the Jewish remnant at the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week has not been fulfilled, either, as described in Revelation 12. That is when the Abomination of Desolation occurs, which Jesus describes as marking the "end" in Matthew 24. Also, Revelation was written after the 2nd temple was destroyed. Therefore, it does not "predict" something which happened about 30 years prior. In addition, the last chapters of Ezekiel tell about a temple in which sacrifices are conducted during the 1,000 year reign of Christ. Zechariah 14:21 also mentions sacrifices being made during this period. Atonement for sin was made by the cross. So perhaps these will be memorial offerings in that age. In your previous posting, you didn't appear to accept that there will be a Millennial reign of Christ upon the earth. You really should study this topic in detail, as it is a major part of God's plan for the future. Do Raymond, Thank you but no thank you, I will not waste my time listening to Sean E Harris, he is the pastor of Berean BC in Fayetteville, NC and advocated in a sermon in 2012 for parents to “hit” their male child if he has infeminate characteristics. He later retracted this to CNN & ABC. Simply stating, “I would have said it differently”. Church is a ultra conservative, KJV only congregation. Teaches premillennialism w/o pre-trib. Your stance is not very consistent, you appear to be deliberately causing confusion and you are very mixed up in your own understanding of theology. You are off my response plate. Praying God removes the scales from your eyes that Satan has placed. :prayer-hands:
