I ran into a former student of mine yesterday, and I witnessed to her. She is a very nice person with three beautiful children. She told me that she is omnispiritual, meaning she accepts all faiths. She seemed pretty set on her belief. I would appreciate it if everyone would pray for her.
Good job in witnessing to your former student! I came across someone like her … the lady claims she embraces ALL faiths and loves everyone. Aka “the broad road” and was technically calling me too narrow minded. It is hard to reach someone like that but she did accept the Bible tract. Only Jesus can break the barriers … I will be praying for your former student for her eyes to be open and not accept the OWR.
I got a chance to witness to this older lady yesterday as we were waiting for the food bank truck that never arrived because of the snow. She is not in the best health and was smoking cigarettes so her time is limited and I felt compelled to share the hope of Jesus. She was friendly … very talkative until … I asked her if she had assurance of heaven? She proudly responded with she is giving her body to the state University for research. Like that will end it all and won’t need to be accountable to God. I said oh that’s nice but your soul will live forever … the look she gave me was shock … so then I continued with you can have assurance of heaven by doing this … and told her quickly about being a sinner and asking Jesus for forgiveness, there is no works involved just faith and asking Him to be your Lord and Savior. but she kept trying to change the subject with … Oh look we are the only ones in the parking lot now … I said yep … but that didn’t distract me … I just finished up speaking to her for 2 minutes tops … Short and sweet was the message … it’s not like a badgered her to death. Not sure if she will heed to it… but she did take the Bible tract and put in her pocket. Her friend was sitting in the front seat glaring at me. It’s amazing how people think they can avoid their Creator … but every knee will bow to Jesus some day. It’s best to do it now than later. Tomorrow … if still here … I will go back to that parking lot for the rescheduled distribution … I wonder if I will see her again …
Re rapture fatigue. Watchman River made an analogy this morning. You're at a football game and the two minute warning sounds. The scoreboard promptly goes dark. Don't spend the rest of the game trying to guess how much time is left; watch the game! Easier said than done, of course.
A colleague was talking to me about wanting to apply for another position. Later that day, she told me that her supervisor contacted her and told her to apply for that position asap cause you might never know what happens...........
She was wondering what the supervisor meant by that. I didn't know what to make of it either, then she told me that some colleagues were talking about how the recent hires were all Muslims (or at least most of them) . Our supervisor who is a Christian got kicked out of the hiring committee (the other 2 are Muslims)
They recently hired a woman who came to the country recently. She does not have much qualifications. I was surprised when an email was sent introducing her and simply saying that "she has experience doing the job". It was very vague. she is very nice, but several people are wondering about her qualifications. From her last name, she is a Muslim.
