You will hear the progressives, particularly the socialist left, constantly saying, "our democracy." What do they mean by this and how do they define it? You probably won't get a straight answer from them, You will get their slogans like "social justice" and how they have been discriminated against in the past. When I first got a satellite dish, I came across a far left channel called "Free Speach TV." I noticed on the station's logo on the screen a picture of the Statue of Liberty, but instead of lady liberty holding a touch, she is holding a microphone. And I think this kind of pictures the far left picture of democracy. They are not just saying they have a right to free speech, but that you must drop what you are doing and you have to listen to them and do what they want you to do! And they will go to whatever extremes to make sure that you listen and comply with whatever they want. Also, in their world of "our democracy," conservatives don't really have a right to free speech because they are wrong and evil. If you notice, they don't use the word "liberty", instead they just keep using "democracy" over and over.. Communist/Marxist countries also call themselves democratic, but don't talk about individual liberties for their citizens. By the way, our Founding Fathers did not use "democracy" in the Constitution. They said we are a republic. They saw democracy as a danger of mob rule of the few taking control of the many. I had a relative who wanted to convince me that government is always needed to make our lives better. I told this person that I didn't see things that way; that government that intrudes into every aspect of our lives is wrong; that government that governs least is best. This left leaning person said something like, "Well, I suppose you have a right to your opinion." And I think this give a red flag to what socialists mean by "our democracy" Our democracy to them means their views are right and count, but the conservative views must be silenced because it is wrong and evil and is not to be part of "our democracy." To them it is democracy for BLM, AOC and the Squad, Biden and son to break the law, but there is no democracy for conservatives who believe in the Constitution, and the right to life for all including the unborn. Same thing going on here, the only reason the wolves aren’t currently eating the “sheep” are because they haven’t figured out how to disarm the sheep yet. Of course some of us fancy ourselves sheep dogs, neither a dangerous wolf, nor a stupid sheep, but a protector of the weak and vulnerable!
