The New York Post reported that the average American consumed 58.6 pounds of red meat in 2021. In 2017, Americans recorded an all-time low by consuming an average of 54 pounds of red meat that year. Americans are eating roughly five more pounds of red meat than five years ago. The New York Post suggested that veganism is a fad that might be on the way out. The Post also suggested that figures in popular culture continually insisting that a meatless diet is the future is an example of them being “hilariously out of touch with the masses.” Tennessee lawmakers pass bill requiring drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill parents: 'Make people think twice': Lawmakers in Tennessee have passed a bill that would require by law that drunk drivers who kill the parents of minors in car accidents pay child support to the children. House Bill 1834 was unanimously passed by the Tennessee Senate on Wednesday. In March, the bill unanimously passed in Tennessee's House of Representatives. The bill is known as "Bentley's Law" or "Ethan, Hailey, and Bentley's Law" – named after children of victims killed by drunk drivers. The bill would require a drunken driver convicted of killing a parent or caregiver to have to pay restitution for each child of the victim until the minor reaches the age of 18 and has graduated high school. If passed, Tennessee would be the first state to put such a law on its books. College professor stops grading her students' work because it 'perpetuates inequity': An English professor at the University of Richmond claimed recently that she has abandoned the practice of grading her students' work as an exercise in social and racial equity. Take Disney for example, they have no problem filming a live-action ‘Mulan’ movie less than a mile away from Chinese concentration camps that hold the Uyghur Muslims. Same goes for Nike that uses Chinese slave labor to make their overpriced plastic sneakers. The NBA agrees to stay silent on the atrocities because they take in revenue from games and merch, and on and on it goes.
