A desperate search for survivors is underway this morning following Morocco's biggest earthquake in over 120 years that struck south of Marrakesh last night, killing at least 1,037 people and leaving more than 1,200 injured, 721 criticially. Horrific footage shared on social media showed a massive cloud of dust rising in Marrakesh - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and hugely popular tourist town - as buildings collapsed and people fled for their lives. The earthquake, which measured 7.2 on the Richter scale struck Morocco's Atlas Mountains and caused tremors as far away as Portugal, has wiped out entire families as witnesses describe hearing 'unbearable screaming and crying' and seeing distraught relatives frantically search with their bare hands for buried loved ones. How sad … the article I just googled said “a rare earthquake” Sure fulfills one of the signs to look for of “earthquakes in diverse places”. I think we are seeing just the start up and many more will be occurring now as we get closer to flying home. I feel for the lost that have no hope … This stood out to me in the yahoo article … “The magnitude-6.8 quake, the biggest to hit the North African country in 120 years, sent people fleeing into darkened streets in terror and disbelief late Friday. One man said dishes and wall hangings began raining down, and people were knocked off their feet.” - Fair Use - Hmmm … 120 years … Genesis 6:3 … Noah had 120 years to get the ark built before God judged the world… Hmmm … 120 years … Genesis 6:3 … Noah had 120 years to get the ark built before God judged the world… Interesting point! good morning Geri & all. I haven't posted in awhile. I hope you are all doing alright. Geri I saw your post about 120 years. I couldn't prove it but suspect the timing of the tribulation has to do with what generation God knows will have the outcome of saying blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, fulfilling the words of Jesus. here is a snapshot of 120 years ago, 1903 https://www.heyalma.com/israel-guide/history-of-israel-palestine-before-1948/#1903 Regina, I am glad you posted. I was going to do a shout out. I was thinking about you and got worried. hi Heidi. attention has just been elsewhere. I hope with the earthquakes and other events that unbelievers will have a change of attention, to realize they need Jesus. We can pray for survivors.
