Temple Mount Group Petitions Government to Stop Muslim Destruction of Temple Artifacts:

Beyadenu, a Temple Mount activist organization, submitted a complaint to the State Comptroller describing the destruction of artifacts carried out by Palestinians during the recent period of Ramadan. According to the organization, the report shows negligence in supervising and protecting antiquities in the Temple Mount area, “which have been vandalized, degraded and misused in recent times.”

Many artifacts, including carved stone elements from the Jewish Temples, were damaged as they were used to obstruct Jewish access to their holiest site. After being piled on the pathway on the eastern side of the compound,  they were collected and thrown back without any preservation or supervision.

Moreover, on Qadr Night, the carpets in the Golden Gate complex were replaced, and a new path was paved on top of ancient stones.

Even more tragic was the damage caused to beams that had been stored in an area adjacent to the Gate of Mercy. . . .Shockingly, one of the oak beams was determined to be 2,860 years old. That meant the tree had been cut down around 880 BCE, early in the First Temple period. This indicates that when al Aqsa was first built, the builders used materials that were on site from the destroyed Jewish Temples.

EU to Resume "Unconditional" Aid to Ramallah:

The EU will resume some aid to the Palestinian Authority following a two-year freeze. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told PA Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh in Ramallah on Tuesday.

The hold-up came about after EU officials mulled conditioning their funding on removing anti-Israel propaganda from PA textbooks. According to von der Leyen, the inciteful material was “dealt with.”

“As Team Europe, we are the largest donor in Palestine, with around 600 million euros per year. And I am glad to announce the EU funds for 2021 can now be disbursed rapidly; all the difficulties are gone,” the European Commission President said.

Israel May Unite with Nine Arab Countries to Fight Iran:

Bipartisan support in both the US House and the Senate introduced legislation on Thursday whose goal is to create an integrated air defense system to enhance military cooperation between Israel and neighboring Muslim countries for a potential war against Iran.

The bill would authorize the US Defense Department to cooperate with Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and the Gulf Cooperation Council. The GCC includes the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.

Terrifying phone call in Istanbul: 'They're waiting to kill you at the hotel:
Israeli tourists called by intelligence official to tell them an Iranian squad is waiting for them at their hotel, and they must go to the airport:

A group of Israeli tourists who went on vacation in Turkey recently have received a phone call from a senior member of the Israeli intelligence community instructing them to return to Israel immediately, Channel 13 News reported.

The official told the tourists that they could not even return to the hotel, as Iranian assassins were waiting for them at the hotel to murder them, and informed them that, at that moment, someone would be sent to take them to the Istanbul airport to return to Israel.

A friend of a woman who received the ominous warning told Channel 13 News: "On Friday afternoon, she was asked to stay exactly where she was, in the market area and in no uncertain terms not to return to the hotel. An armored vehicle arrived with ten Israeli security guards who accompanied them and travelled with them to the airport. They got on the flight, while all their luggage and belongings stayed at the hotel."

The defense establishment believes that there are Iranian squads scattered throughout Turkey, but the focus is on Istanbul, with an emphasis on Israeli tourists, so on Monday the Counter-Terrorism Bureau announced the travel warning level to Istanbul would be raised to Level 4, which is the highest level.

Palestinians face uncertainty over Abbas’ successor as leader's health declines:

As PA president's public appearances become rarer, speculations grow, and analysts say holding elections is the only way to avoid chaos; 'Palestinian people must be led by democratically produced institutions,' says one expert.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is 86; with persistent rumors of his failing health circulating, and with no designated successor, his death could create a power vacuum in Ramallah.

Some 17 years into what was supposed to be a four-year term, Abbas – who now rules by presidential decree – presides over three distinct Palestinian political institutions, each one with its own problems of legitimacy.  Abbas holds titles in the PA, the PLO, and the Fatah party.  Abbas was elected president of the PA in January 2005. Though his term ended in 2009, he remains in office.
