Let me just say that a person who chooses to wilfully practice a sinful lifestyle, in spite of his/her knowledge of salvation, has a big problem. Example: somebody I know, who attended the same church, knew the gospel and professed faith in Christ, inexplicably chose to become 'gay'. I asked that person how on earth she could justify her decision, given her Christian background and knowledge of the Word. Her answer was that it was okay with God -- wait for it -- because of His grace.

Sadly, there are people who use/abuse grace to get away with sin. Clearly, she does not really understand what grace is about, and she refuses to listen to any explanation. I know that Father God still loves her and is just waiting for her to admit her mistake, but it's been years now and she is 'married' to another woman. It's not for me to judge her; that's Father God's business, but I hope and pray that she will come to her senses. Personally, I think she was never really saved in the first place.

The point I'm trying to make is that there are misconceptions about about grace and eternal salvation. We should be aware of it and be sensitive to people who have been victims of false doctrines.

Enough already. I'll put the kettle on.

That is a sentiment in christian leadership in that type of situation, that those who live in those kinds of ways, likely never made a true confession of salvation, but only believe (within themselves) that they are good people and therefore will go to heaven.

Only God knows the heart...

I do pray this lady chooses soon who she will truly serve.

The Father disciplines his children and from experience I can say willful sinning will be corrected at some point and in a very severe manner.  Christians can willfully sin but look out!☺️

Oh, My!

I felt like suffocating to read through Stephen's posts.

I forced myself to finish reading his posts to understand where he is coming from.

I am glad to see you, whom responded to him, have correct understanding of the Gospel.

Stephen,

If you read this, like you mentioned above you are going to stay with us.

Bottom line is Our GOD, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit is GOOD GOD. The Latter even has another Name "Comforter".

He is neither a pathetic bean counter nor a Soup Nazi type.

I do not see any comfort or resting from your posts.

Seems that you are still drinking milk (Proper understanding of the Gospel) not feasting on meat. You are not resting on the finished Work of Jesus Christ.

But, I see some would-be-good-attributes like your persistence, standing on your deep conviction, and knowledge of the Word if you understood the Forgiveness of God and the Gospel of Grace correctly.

Below is the link of the teaching of Forgiveness by Aaron Budjen who is an ex-Pharasee turned one of the greatest Grace teacher/pastor.

https://www.livinggodministries.net/living_god_ministries/radio_archive/forgiveness.htm

Please, listen at least the first one (26 min.). It will change your Christian life/walk.

There are a few things I would like to point out here. Legalism, or strict adherence to law, brings death. When the Law was given to Moses 3000 people died. By contrast, when the Holy Spirit was given 3000 people were saved. The Law does not save. It brings death. The Law was given to point to our need for a Savior. Its entire purpose was to point to Jesus. God knew we could never ever live up to the Law. Aside from Jesus the most morally high man ever to walk this earth was Job. He was very righteous and yet the theme of Job is repentance. We can never live a life good enough.

This entire thread went off the tracks with this statement:

We cannot knowingly walk in the works of the flesh.  So my question is, who are you calling out?? You come to this forum, unknown to all of us and begin to accuse Brothers and Sisters of knowingly walking in the works of the flesh. By your posts you seem to think your mission is to save us through your way of thinking and yet you know none of us.

Again, back to my original post, Jesus teaches us that nothing defiled will enter the Kingdom of God, and the works of the flesh defile us.   Just remember that this includes pride as well.

Nothing defiled will enter in. Our garments must be white,   Who do you think makes your garment white? YOU!?!?! Certainly not! It is Christ’s FINISHED work on the cross for those who put their faith in HIM, not by our works. When we put our works in the equation we have a “Jesus+” religion and there is no +. Only Jesus. Our works are a fruit of the Spirit Who lives within us. Without Him we are less than nothing. Our works are as filthy rags in His sight.

Defiled Christians are not saved.  That is a contradiction of terms. If we are in Christ (Christian) we are not defiled. We are cleansed of our sins. But one thing is guaranteed, we will ALL stumble.

Stephan, your posts sound an awful lot like you belong to the Holiness Church. Perhaps not but it has all the earmarks. One thing I have found in common with Holiness people is the lack of joy from the Holy Spirit. In conversations with such I have found them to be harsh, judgmental, and lacking in any mercy. If you are one of these people then please find another forum to be a member of. This forum is a group of Jesus loving believers who are looking forward to His return. We love Him and want to be free from our flesh. We cannot wait to live with Him and live under His government. This forum is NOT a place to come preaching and telling us we are all going to hell because we do not believe the way that you do. It is called Rapture In The Air, hence we are here to discuss things relating to end times and the rapture. You are welcome to participate but keep your preaching to yourself.
