February 24 is the year anniversary date of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It's possible that on February 23 and 24, the United Nations will meet in New York City to expel Russia from the UN Security Council. I am not seeing any UN meetings listed for February 23/24. However, there is a UN Security Council meeting on February 24 - "to address the situation in Ukraine on February 24, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory." The meeting is to deal with "the maintenance of peace and security in Ukraine." Ukrainian Minister Kuleba believes that the UN - the whole world - will meet to condemn Russia and plan sanctions, weapons, etc against her. He said the process of kicking Russia off the Council would be "inevitably delayed, but the "major events" would take place in New York, where the headquarters of the United Nations is based, on Feb. 23 and 24, and these two days will be devoted exclusively to Russia's aggression and Ukraine's future victory." He points out that the whole world will express unity against Russia at this meeting. The Ukrainian Minister Kuleba said that "Russia will remember how the world marks the anniversary of it's full-scale aggression against Ukraine."
