Oh sorry to hear you suffer side effects from mint.

Here I been drinking a few boxes of organic spearmint tea for the past few months …

It balances hormones, lowers blood sugar, improves digestion,  reduces stress and improves memory, removes bloating and IBS, fights infections and cancer …

Now I’m switching it out for Green Tea and other herbal teas.

Mint flavoring used in food and beverages is often derived from oil of turpentine, which comes from the resin of pine trees. It's a lot cheaper to produce than real mint oil and most people don't know the difference. This flavoring is mainly produced in China and is widely used by manufacturers around the world. I know many people are allergic to it.

Like Geri says, real mint has multiple health benefits. I make mint tea from fresh mint leaves, slightly bruised and steeped in hot water for 10 minutes. I usually add a bit of honey.

I'm also a big fan of green tea. Here in South Africa we have an indigenous tea called Rooibos (meaning red bush). It's not only delicious, with a natural sweetness, but it's probably one of the healthiest substances on earth, according to various studies. It's even given to babies for the relief of various ailments.

Technically speaking, coffee is just another type of tea, but don't let that stop us from our friendly rivalry!

Very interesting the mint they are using for most food and beverages is coming from oil of turpentine from the pine tree.  I’m sure even the gummie spearmint leaf candies contain that oil as well.

But my organic spearmint tea is only coming from the leaves brewed.

All I know is if I stop drinking tea … then I don’t feel so hot so I know the herbal teas, green tea, black tea, etc are working.

Perhaps those who have to have thee coffee 🙄 can only drink one cup to wake up😳 and then try to incorporate tea for the rest of their day and perhaps they will soon learn to liken it. B-)

All of the green tea on the planet cannot compensate for the standard American diet, which is full of processed foods loaded with sugar, hormones, and chemicals that most people cannot even pronounce. Americans are unhealthy because of what they eat.

True but for it to be effective people need to change what they put into their bodies in the first place.

Yes, I admit I’m guilty :bye: my addiction is sugar sugar (candy).

So … I got to drink the Green Tea / Herbal Teas daily to detox. B-)

I have wondered if all the health tea's truly do what they claim.

The key it seems is choosing organic to begin with .

A frustration to me has been reports how green tea is so good for you...

But then follows reports of how harmful it is!

Then, for those on prescription meds, what teas might affect medications...

I actually do like sweetened teas, but I grow weary of the confusion.

So, I tend to avoid it all.

Am I the only one...?!

I guess it depends on the person and what they are allergic to and/or what meds they are on and need to google the side effect reactions to certain prescriptions.

The only tea I couldn’t drink is … if it contains Licorice Root.  That ingredient gave me a nasty migraine headache so bad I had to take the afternoon off from work and go home.  I felt fine before hand but I had 3 glasses and had that weird reaction.  So I read the label  and narrowed down the culprit.  So I avoid that ingredient if I see it listed in herbal teas I avoid that brand and look for another without it.  Yet I can eat black or red licorice with no problem.

Organic Spearmint Leaf Tea I get from a local health food store its 100% that and I saw results to a problem I had after drinking it for 3 days straight.  Its sweet and I don’t have to add any sugar or honey.  I didn’t buy the spearmint leaf tea in the grocery store because that particular box contained other ingredients like peppermint, etc. and I wanted full strength spearmint.

Dandelion Root Tea, I will admit is horrible.  Taste like you are drinking dirt. But it cures cancer. They sell it in pills (NOW brand) that are more potent and at least there is no funny taste when swallowing a pill.  I was lurking on another forum the other day and someone was asking for prayer request for a loved one who has stage 4 cancer … someone else said get her on Dandelion Root ASAP and in 3 days time you should see the cancer disappear, this happened to my …..   So I was shocked it worked that fast on their loved one and cleared of cancer for 35 years and counting.  I wish I knew this back when my mom had the cancer and my aunt.

Salada Green Tea has pomegranate … taste soo good.  Its a sweet tea no sugar or honey needed.  I get results when drinking it .. cures the health issues instantly.

These below are the freebee teas from the food bank … nobody wants tea … they rather grab the coffee.🙄    So I’m having a field day trying these other brands.  I LOVE the Bigelow Wildblueberry with Açaí  sooooo good.  Already sweet enough so no sugar or honey needed.

When going for blood work, my doctor said to stop all vitamins, supplements and herbs 5 days before the appointment so it doesn’t interfere with the test results.

I think every one just needs to experiment and see what works best for their own body.
