I love to hear each of the bird’s songs. I especially like the Redwinged Blackbird. There was a raucous Bluejay in the backyard this morning. They are beautiful and sure make their presence known. I have to keep an eye out for the Hawk. I fear for my little dog. The diversity is amazing. As I have mentioned before, I taught Biology. I always told the students that the diversity of life due to evolution was  not remotely possible. I told them God created it all. While I taught evolution, as I was required by the state, I was sure to point out all of the holes in the theory. I never got any blowback from parents or administration. I also always said “Amen” loudly after the moment of silence at the beginning of the day. No problem ever with that!  And it was public school. I wouldn’t have stopped anyway.

I should have said “I couldn’t have stopped.”

Kent, the interesting thing about Blue Jay is that they have two "songs", the noisy cacophonous sound we all know but they also have a very serene "flutie" like sound that is calming and very pleasant. This bird falls into the "one mans trash is another mans treasure" category. Those of us who grew up around it see it more of a nuance, yet people from around the world travel to the USA just to photograph it.

Yohanan, I went to YouTube to hear the other sound.  It is pleasant. I don’t mind the other rowdy sound they are known for. Their feathers are beautiful. Thanks for the info
