I’m confused … are you saying this passage below about sudden destruction refers to the AC going into the temple mid point and the Jews fleeing to Petra or is this referring to a peace deal earlier before the rapture? Well, neither. Let me explain. A peace deal will be signed with the AC, but this will not happen until after the Rapture and after the Battle of Ezekiel 38; the deal that causes "sudden destruction". This is not the Deal put forth by Pres Trump. It could evolve into that or it could be an entirely different deal. I tend to think it's an entirely different deal because the current one favors Israel. There is no dividing of Jerusalem in Trump's deal nor is there a real two state solution because there is no way the Palestinians will do what they need to do. That it’s a different “deal” is just my theory. But it's the suddenness of the destruction that I'm referring to. In modern English "sudden" and "instantaneous" are interchangeable. The Greek for sudden in the verse is αἰφνίδιος, which also translates to "unaware". The destruction will not come instantaneously with the signing of the deal. But once the temple has been desecrated it will indeed be quite sudden as stated in Mat 24:15-23 15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. :groan Another scenario ... very interesting one too. B-) It doesn’t help that J.D. often quotes that passage ... when they say “peace and safety” we go up as destruction occurs. Then you have J.D. claiming the Trump’s Abrahamic Accords is a 2 state deal ... but Amir saying its not because the Palestinians are not accepting it ... so its all in Israel’s favor right now. But I can see your scenario happening with the AC either modifying this deal or coming up with his own for the 2 state division. So to sum this up ... we really don’t have to wait for “the many” to get on board to hear “peace and security”? Rapture can still technically happen at any time? B-) Just wondering should we be gauging the timing of the rapture with when the vaxx gets roll out vs. any peace agreement updates? Rapture can still technically happen at any time? Absolutely! There are no events that need to occur before the Rapture. It could happen any day and is not necessarily tied to any Jewish feast day, though it could be. No one knows that. It is speculation. I have always been a firm believer that if it did occur on a Jewish feast day that it would be FOT, but I've never subscribed to the idea that it has to be on a feast day given that we are not Israel. Just wondering should we be gauging the timing of the rapture with when the vaxx gets roll out vs. any peace agreement updates? Personally, I wouldn't tie it to either. The peace agreement that brings about the destruction of Israel will not occur while we are here and the vaxx is not the Mark of the Beast so both events that you have mentioned could happen while the Church is still here. i hope not, but there is nothing in Scripture that suggests either way. Neither are in prophecy, though both certainly foreshadow what is to come. Think of it more as a dress rehearsal.
