The young Jewish soldiers risked their own lives to open the border to let them in and, surprisingly to the Syrians, Israel gave them life-saving treatment. This was totally unexpected. It continued every night during those years. An inspiring story! If any of you are familiar with Brigitte Gabrielle.....I highly recommend her books, especially the first one Because They Hate. She grew up in Lebanon and while she was not raised a Muslim her family and all that she lived around still had a great distrust and dislike of Jews.....until one night she was hurt in friendly fire in her home and she was taken to Israel for medical care. She said she feared for her life even more because of all the things she had heard about the Jews her whole life......and then she was treated very well, and with great kindness and her whole world view was rocked.....she asked herself, " if I have been lied to about this, what else is a lie?' and her books expose Islam for the evil that it is.
