It’s been years since I posted and not certain if there is anything below of value, so Mods – if you choose to delete, well and good.
Yesterday, Saturday the 4th, I was bemoaning (more than usual) the loss and decline of skills I thought I had 15-30 years ago. For those that remain, there comes a lack of desire. Most of what I do presently seems so much routine mastered through years of rote memory.
I remember saying, “Lord is there anything (that I can still do)”? My mind flashed to the inside of a house that I guessed was my house. Everything was gone; possessions, furniture, all of it. There were a few cardboard boxes stacked up against a barren wall, but that was it.
The voice in my mind (not mine) impressed upon me that I stood in what was left of a house being cleaned out.
The voice asked, “Can you cook a meal here?”
“No”, I replied.
“Watch television? Sleep on a bed?”
Then it came; I was moving out! What was possible before here was now impossible in this barren house.
“Then why make excuses? It cannot be done here any more.” said the voice.
A heavy burden felt gone, but I still asked, “Lord, then what should I do?”

Those who put their trust in the Lord shall be helped and not be ashamed. May the Lord’s blessings and presence attend and lift you.
Who can know when the trumpet shall sound? But I shall sound His praises with the voice he has given me. I will reverently fear He who can kill the body and the soul. His mercies are new every day, and His lovingkindness never fails.
He is faithful to reward all who suffer and are afflicted. He who stores our tears is ever mindful of our frames. His eyes ever move to and fro searching the whole Earth. His compassion never slumbers, His love never tires, His faithfulness never ceases!
He is moved by our infirmities, He is provoked by injustice, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Heaven and Earth bows before Him. The patience of the saints shall establish their souls forever.
Heaven and Earth shall be moved at the sound of the Trumpet, as we are moved from this realm into the Heavenlies.
Let all who mourn be comforted, let all who weep stand in hope, let all who wait be satisfied!

Can’t say I fully understand the content or implications of your post, but praying that the Lord will lead you in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake as you head into this next season of your life. May His grace and mercy go before you.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."February 5, 2017 at 5:20 pm #128059

Beautiful timely and true…you/we are moving out and will soon move upward!
There is nothing left for us here more important than prayer, and so much to pray about before our departure!
Thank you and welcome back Golden Retriever.
I Am the Lord! Besides Me there is no Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved!...For in him we live, and move, and have our being!February 6, 2017 at 2:24 pm #128104
That poignantly touched me, Golden Retriever. Yeah! We don’t really need anything that’s here any more!
So, while we wait another couple days maybe there’s a jar of peanut butter and crackers in one of those remaining boxes… There could be a couple blankets in the other box… That’s all we’ll need.
We’re quite certain that the shout, the voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God will reverberate for us joyfully against these bare floors and walls.
Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick …
Thanks again, Golden Retriever. See ya’ up there soon!
I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see Him with my own eyes -- I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! Job19:25-27
