Mods – the content of my dreams are not being discussed here, so I did not send an email to you all about the content.
For the last week, I keep having very distinct dreams where I am agitated by a certain political group that just recently had a big supreme court win. I don’t want to go into detail about my dreams, but wondered if anyone else is having persistent dreams that carry a constant theme… not necessarily about this theme though…
I have no idea why I am having these dreams since through the course of my normal day to day life I do not routinely come in contact with this political group.
Anyone else having vivid dreams like this with a constant theme?July 12, 2015 at 8:58 am #79267
I havent’t been having any persistent dreams recently, although last night I did have a rather strange dream involving the police searching for me and my friend (Who also happens to be the only other Christian I know). Didn’t think anything of it until I saw your thread.July 12, 2015 at 9:00 am #79268
To anyone responding, please do not get too deep in describing dreams since the Mods have rules about that, but my question pertains to having a pattern of persistent dreams… thank-you.July 12, 2015 at 9:05 am #79269
Nope, nothing here. See you in the air soon.
Psalm 18:1-3, I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies..July 12, 2015 at 10:30 am #79280
Strange dreams here as well, most of them involve me being chased or hunted under different scenarios.July 12, 2015 at 11:05 am #79284
Well, Tim, the subject is everywhere and up in everyone’s face. Dreams can be peculiar; I sometimes wonder where all the details in them originate, and it doesn’t seem my brain ought to be capable of what comes out of it.
Even if we aren’t consciously giving a lot of thought to a topic, it can sink down deeply into us and rub us the wrong way, resulting in unusual dreams.
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:2July 12, 2015 at 3:46 pm #79312
Yes David, there are a ton of folks online talking about dreams, but you really can’t act on any of them. Joseph was able to interpret dreams of those folks in prison and those dreams had a real literal meaning for them. When I started to describe my one dream to my wife, who knows me best (good and bad), she said immediately, without hesitation what I should do and the funny thing is, Jesus tells us that same message in this verse:
Matthew 7:6 – Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces
I really beginning to think now that this dream was for a reason…to shut my mouth in the coming days.July 12, 2015 at 9:00 pm #79356
Yes, I have dreams that are quite vivid (I can remember all of them quite easily), on a pretty regular basis. They don’t follow a set pattern, but the message is often quite clear to me once I talk to others in my church about it (sometimes I don’t have to talk to anyone…I know what is being said).July 12, 2015 at 11:13 pm #79368
Dear Tim, Just to clarify, I didn’t “thank” your post because I thought you should keep your mouth shut! I thanked it because I DO UNDERSTAND exactly what you meant! (This note probably wasn’t necessary, but the thought of what you might think struck me right as I pressed ‘Thank You’.)
