Solid Ground

Out at sea, all you can see,

is endless blue.

Your eyes tell you

there is only water-

never ending, forevermore.

But faith in what you know to be true

provides hope.

You know where you came from

and where you are going.

There is solid ground

beneath you,

behind you,

before you.

HE IS THERE, firm and steady

just beyond sight,

but not beyond reach.
