The Euphrates is dying and the Bible saw it coming:

The river that watered the Garden of Eden, defined the borders of the Promised Land, and gave birth to the world’s first civilizations, is running dry. Scientists, government officials, and the United Nations now warn that the Euphrates River, the longest and most historically significant river in Western Asia, could be reduced to nothing more than a muddy trickle by 2040. This is happening now, in real time, and tens of millions of people are already suffering the consequences.

The Euphrates stretches 1,700 miles from the mountains of southern Turkey, flowing through Syria and Iraq before merging with the Tigris River to form the Shatt al-Arab, which then empties into the Persian Gulf. Together, the Euphrates and the Tigris form the Tigris-Euphrates river system — the ancient Mesopotamia, a Greek term meaning “the land between the rivers.” This was the Fertile Crescent, where human civilization first planted roots, where the Sumerians built the world’s first cities, where writing was invented, where agriculture transformed nomadic peoples into settled nations.

Today, that same basin is losing water at one of the fastest rates ever recorded on Earth. Satellite data collected between 2003 and 2013 documented a staggering loss of 144 cubic kilometers, roughly 34 cubic miles, of freshwater from the Tigris-Euphrates basin. That is approximately 13 million Olympic-sized swimming pools, gone in a single decade. In a 2021 report, Iraq’s Ministry of Water Resources issued a direct warning: the rivers could run completely dry by 2040.

Roughly 60 million people across Turkey, Syria, and Iraq depend on this river system for survival. For Syria alone, the Euphrates has historically supplied 85 percent of the country’s agricultural water demand.

Turkey alone built 22 dams along the Euphrates, including the massive Ataturk Dam...

The prophet Jeremiah did not mince words about what would befall the land of Babylon, the region encompassing modern-day Syria and Iraq, because of its idolatry. His prophecy was a warning that the land itself would be cursed:

“A drought against its waters, that they be dried up! For it is a land of idols; They are besotted by their dread images. Assuredly, wildcats and hyenas shall dwell there, and ostriches shall dwell there; It shall never be settled again, nor inhabited throughout the ages.” (Jeremiah 50:38-39)

Jeremiah did not merely predict drought as a natural phenomenon. He described it as divine consequence: the land’s water supply stripped away as a direct result of the spiritual condition of the people who inhabit it.

The great river is dying. The Bible told us it would.

Second, when I counted 237 days from 24 September 2025, when my daughter had the dream, it lands exactly on 19 may 2026. Religious leaders told 'prepare now' for UFO disclosure to unleash Bible-changing revelations:

Influential pastors are claiming that they have been told to prepare their followers for shocking revelations about UFOs which may upend belief in the Bible.

Perry Stone, a well-known evangelist, author and Bible teacher from Tennessee, warned that fellow pastors were recently invited to a secret meeting with US intelligence officials to prepare for the release of secret files on extraterrestrials.

According to Stone, the officials warned a small group of pastors with a large reach in the Christian community that the government was about to release reports and possibly videos of aliens and spacecraft which were not from this planet.

In the April 27 video posted to his YouTube channel, the evangelist claimed that pastors were told about the existence of 'reptilian' creatures, UFOs and materials from a non-human origin and 'other things that almost sound like something out of a sci-fi movie.'

On February 19, President Trump ordered the Pentagon and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to release all information the government possesses regarding UFOs and alien life.

Last week, Trump said that the first files would be released 'very, very soon' and would contain some 'very interesting' things for the public.

However, officials in this secret meeting allegedly said the information on its way may cause some Christians to question how the universe was created and even lose faith in religion.

On The Brink: How Much Longer Before God Intervenes In Our World?

As I look at what’s happened just since the start of 2026, I realize the world has continued to rapidly move toward the start of the Tribulation, and yet we still wait for Jesus’ appearing. I still wonder, “Can we get any closer to the time God’s wrath descends upon the unsuspecting world than we already are?”

I believe we find the answer in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8: “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming” (emphasis added).

In the past several months, we have heard reports of how corrupt politicians have facilitated the theft of mindboggling amounts of taxpayer funds. The total exceeds several hundred billions of dollars. The numbers are impossible to fully grasp.

Almost every week, I’m shocked by reports of violence. I remember the 1960s and the violence of that era, but it’s far more widespread and common today.

The Apostle John wrote that the “spirit of the antichrist” was already at work in his day (1 John 4:3). The dramatic rise of antisemitism during the past twenty-five years demonstrates the increased activity of this evil spirit in our day. The hatred of Israel that’s becoming epidemic in the U.S. and elsewhere is satanic and is leading to the demonic hatred of the Jewish people.

At the moment, I believe He’s warning the world of what lies ahead. He has sent many messengers to alert people to what the Bible says about the last days and the wrath that is coming. YouTube and the Internet contain a multitude of such messages. The widespread scoffing of our belief in the Rapture also tells me that many have heard what the Bible says about what lies ahead for the world and refuse to believe.

I don’t know how much closer we can get to the Rapture. I never thought I would see so much lawlessness, violence, and demonic hatred of Israel before Jesus appears to take us home. The time of Jesus’ appearing must be ever so near.

In the meantime, we watch with great expectancy, knowing that one day our wait will end quicker than we can even imagine. We cling to the good news Paul wrote in Colossians 3:4, “When Christ who is yourlife appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
