Now that the whole world is talking about the Third Temple in Jerusalem, let’s go there.

I am a Jew, a Chabad’nik, a Rabbi, so you can trust what I’m going to share a lot more than what podcasters have tried to share in ‘my name’.

Yes, Jews believe that we will have a Third Temple, on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, in the same location where our first two Temples once stood. It’s not some secret that the Mossad is hiding...

It has been in the public record for thousands of years:

2800 years ago, Isaiah prophesied: “… concerning Judah and Jerusalem … at the end of the days, the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains … and many peoples shall go, and they shall say, “Come, let us go up to the Lord’s mount, to the house of the God of Jacob …”

Obviously, there are geopolitical considerations, which are significant but beyond the scope of this article. But let’s review the Jewish sources. We will discover that they are complex, and there are in fact many reasons why we aren’t currently making any such plans:

1. The obligation to rebuild the Temple may apply only when the majority of the Jewish nation resides in Israel. Currently, less than 50% of Jews live in Israel.

2. The obligation to rebuild the Temple may apply only when there is a Jewish king or prophet, which we don’t have nowadays....

That being said, there seems to be two general opinions about how the Temple will be built:

1. Maimonides rules that the Temple will be built by King Moshiach. In other words, we will need to wait for the arrival of Moshiach.

2. Others are of the opinion that in the Messianic era, the Temple will miraculously descend ready-built from heaven.

In summary, as much as we yearn for the building of the Third Temple, and we know that it will happen one day, we are not currently in a position to fulfill this mitzvah.

Our job is to build a better world. We’ll let G-d will figure out how to build the Temple.

...a tragedy of a different kind was narrowly averted on Saturday, the first day of the war, as one missile landed just several hundred meters from the Western Wall and the Temple Mount. The missile hit the Sultan’s Pool outdoor events venue.

But it is also clear that the Islamist regime is targeting Jerusalem. Ironically, a missile strike on the Temple Mount would likely destroy the Muslim structures that dominate Judaism’s holiest site. Within Saturday’s Jerusalem’bound rocket is a hidden meaning. 

The first day of the war was the 11th day of the ninth Islamic month, Ramadan, in which the Muslims increase their religious fervor. Americans will connect this date as hinting at 9-11...

“The ‘Architects of Chaos’ in Tehran attempted to commit an act of sacrilege so profound it would have torn the fabric of human history,” Rabbi Ben Avraham wrote. “They launched a ballistic warhead aimed at the heart of Jerusalem. And let us be clear: this was not a “military error.” This was an intentional strike on the most sensitive thirty-five acres on Earth.”

“Had that warhead deviated by just a few degrees, or had the hand of the Almighty not guided it into the open amphitheater of the Hinnom Valley, it would have struck the Temple Mount.

“Consider the timing. We are in the month of Ramadan. At the moment of that strike, the Mount was filled with thousands of Muslim worshippers in prayer. The Iranian regime a regime that claims to speak in the name of Islam, was willing to slaughter thousands of their own co-religionists and destroy the Al-Aqsa compound just to strike a blow at the ‘Zionist entity.’

“I believe this near-catastrophe marks the beginning of the end for the regime in Tehran. By attempting to bomb the Temple Mount, they have lost the last shred of their ‘Islamic’ legitimacy. Even our neighbors, the Saudis, the Emiratis, and the Jordanians now see the truth. You cannot claim to be the vanguard of faith while trying to blow up its foundation.

The Israeli government says it has authorised its forces to advance into Lebanon and “take control of additional areas” to prevent Hezbollah using them to fire into Israeli border settlements as part of Operation Roaring Lion, Jerusalem’s counterpart of the American Operation Epic Fury.

Israel is reacting to the decision “of the Hezbollah terror organization to join the campaign of the Iranian terror regime” and is moving forward to occupy land used to launch attacks against Israeli border communities, they said on Tuesday morning. Air raid sirens sounded in the north of Israel again on Tuesday morning as Hezbollah rocket attacks, launched from inside Lebanon, struck the Galilee area, The Times of Israel reported.

Announcing the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) invasion of Lebanese border areas in a statement on Tuesday, defence minister Israel Katz said he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had “approved the IDF to advance and take control of additional areas in Lebanon to prevent firing on Israeli border settlements”.

During an interview aired on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that action had to be taken against Iran because they had “started building new sites, new places, underground bunkers that would make their ballistic missile program and their atomic bomb programs immune within months. If no action was taken now, no action could be taken in the future.”

Netanyahu said, “The reason that we had to act now is because, they were — after we hit their nuclear sites and their ballistic missiles program, you’d think they would learn a lesson. But they didn’t, because they’re unreformable. They’re totally fanatic about this, about the goal of destroying America. So, they started building new sites, new places, underground bunkers that would make their ballistic missile program and their atomic bomb programs immune within months. If no action was taken now, no action could be taken in the future.”

He continued, “And then they could target America, they could blackmail America, they could threaten us and threaten everyone in between. ...We had to take the action now, and we did. Otherwise, the Iranian mass murder regime would have immunity from future action.”

Iranian state media confirmed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s death in the opening minutes of joint US-Israel strikes on his Tehran compound during Shabbat Zachor. This is the special Sabbath of remembrance immediately before Purim. An Israeli official told Reuters the body was recovered from rubble after approximately thirty bombs struck the site.

The strikes struck precisely on Shabbat Zachor. On this day synagogues read Deuteronomy 25:17-19. This passage commands remembrance of Amalek’s unprovoked attack and the obligation to blot out Amalek’s memory from under heaven. The haftarah from 1 Samuel 15 recounts Saul’s incomplete destruction of Amalek. It allowed King Agag to survive and later produce Haman the Agagite. Purim celebrates the decisive reversal. The Jews defended themselves successfully. The tables turned on their enemies. Khamenei’s elimination on Zachor, followed by widespread reports of Iranians cheering in Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, and Shiraz, carries unmistakable echoes. Cars honked. People gathered on rooftops and streets. They celebrated openly despite the regime’s declared forty-day mourning period. ...the prevailing sound from inside Iran was joy at the tyrant’s fall.

The Book of Esther records that on the thirteenth of Adar, the Jews prevailed across the empire’s 127 provinces without taking spoils. In Shushan, the capital, the fighting extended to the fourteenth day. It ended with the hanging of Haman’s ten sons and total triumph. Immediately after these two days of decisive victory, Esther 8:17 states plainly: “And many people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.” The Sages in Megillah explain this as genuine affiliation. Many were drawn by the clear evidence of divine protection and the Jews’ steadfast stand.

The pattern repeats today. A regime that armed Hamas terrorists for October 7, supplied Hezbollah rockets, and vowed Israel’s destruction now faces leadership decapitation. Trump’s call for Iranians to seize their freedom and Netanyahu’s urging to finish the job mirror the ancient Persian decree that empowered the Jews to stand and fight. The Iranian people, long oppressed under the mullahs, responded with open rejoicing. This is precisely the response Scripture describes when the wicked perish (Proverbs 11:10).

A total lunar eclipse will turn the moon blood-red on Purim itself, March 3, 2026. It will be visible across wide regions of the world. Joel 2:31 declares, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.” The Sages connect celestial signs on appointed festivals to messages of deliverance. Coming right after Zachor and the removal of a modern figure who embodied relentless enmity toward Israel, the alignment stands as anything but a coincidence. God keeps His calendar. He marks His seasons. He acts in history to protect the nation He chose.
