Target confirmed that it will be requiring that all cereals sold by its company have artificial dyes removed by the end of May, as part of the effort to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA).

The company confirmed the news to Axios and will make the company “among the first national retailers to remove the additives across an entire grocery category.”

In a press release from Target, Cara Sylvester, who is executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, explained that the company knows “consumers are increasingly prioritizing healthier lifestyles.”

Other companies such as Nestlé, General Mills, Hershey, Kraft Heinz, and J.M. Smucker Co. have made similar announcements that they would be moving to eliminate artificial dyes and flavors from their products either by mid-2026 or 2027.

A pair of recent developments, which at first may appear distinct but are actually intimately related, reveal how transgender ideology has lost its grip over both the legal and medical establishments – pillars of the left’s institutional control over American society.

First, last week, a jury in White Plains, New York, awarded a 22-year-old woman named Fox Varian $2 million in a lawsuit against two medical providers. If you only get your information from legacy outlets like The New York Times, The Washington Post, CBS, or NBC, you’ve completely missed this story. But it nonetheless represents a dam-breaking moment that promises to unleash a torrent of lawsuits against activist-minded medical professionals who pushed transgender “treatments” on minors based on left-wing ideology rather than science.

Like so many other parents of confused kids, Deacon was made to believe that her daughter was in mortal danger unless she signed off on the surgery. Einhorn and his co-defendant, plastic surgeon Simon Chin, argued that Varian wanted the procedure and that she was at risk of suicide if she did not have the mastectomy.

...this sort of emotional blackmail is the go-to strategy for doctors and mental health professionals pushing transgender drugs and surgeries for minors.

A jury agreed with the argument made by Varian’s attorneys that Einhorn and Chin did not properly notify her or her mother about the risks associated with the surgery...

Varian’s case is the first instance of a detransitioner bringing a successful medical malpractice lawsuit against her doctors. More than two dozen other such cases are already pending in court, and Varian’s ruling provides an important precedent.

Then, this week, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons published new guidance officially recommending that its members not perform transgender surgeries on patients until they reach age 19. Shortly thereafter, the American Medical Association (AMA), the largest professional medical association in the U.S., said in a statement to National Review that “the evidence for gender-affirming surgical intervention in minors is insufficient for us to make a definitive statement… the AMA agrees with ASPS that surgical interventions in minors should be generally deferred to adulthood.”

If there’s one thing that institutional organizations like the AMA are scared of more than being targeted by the woke mob, it’s lawsuits that will cost their members big money. Now that doctors have to worry about being sued for chopping body parts off healthy children and prescribing them drugs that will disfigure them for life, the “evidence” that we were all told supported child gender transitions has suddenly gone missing.

Top White House health officials announced reformed dietary guidelines for Americans through 2030 on Wednesday, promoting a diet rich in protein, dairy, healthy fats, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Rollins emphasized the reformed guidelines “encourage households and schools to prioritize whole, nutrient-dense foods — that means more protein, more dairy, more healthy fats, more whole grains, more fruits and vegetables, whether they are fresh, frozen, canned, or dried.”

“For decades, we’ve been fed a corrupt food pyramid that has had a myopic focus on demonizing natural, healthy saturated fats, telling you not to eat eggs and steak, and ignoring a giant blind spot: refined carbohydrates, added sugars, ultra-processed food,” he said.

He cited a study finding that six to seven children out of ten are receiving calories via “ultra-processed food.”

“That’s an epidemic. We now have a generation of kids addicted to refined carbohydrates, low in protein,” he stated.

“We have 40 percent of our kids now with a chronic disease. It is not their fault. This is something that is the result of bad advice from the government and a medical establishment that for decades peddled research from a flawed 1960s model,” Makary went on to add.

Oz went on to report that 30 percent of U.S. healthcare costs are a direct result of obesity.

“Thirty percent of health care costs are directly attributable to obesity… That’s about $300 billion a year for just Medicare,” he said.

A new study from the prestigious Cleveland Clinic has found that the 2024-2025 flu shot not only failed to protect people but also increased their risk of contracting the flu.

A Simon-Makuch plot showed that early in the season, infection rates were similar, but they rose more rapidly among the vaccinated over time.

The authors concluded: “Among 53402 working-aged Cleveland Clinic employees, we were unable to find a protective influence of influenza vaccination during the 2024-2025 respiratory viral season and found a significantly higher risk of influenza with vaccination when influenza activity was high.“

Seven Republican-led states have banned the manufacture, sale or distribution of lab-grown meat – with the backing of RFK Jr.

The Trump administration is taking “six decisive actions” against transgender procedures on children, Health and Human Services Secretary (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Thursday.

According to a press release detailing the actions, HHS is aiming to carry out President Donald Trump’s Executive Order “directing HHS to end the practice of sex-rejecting procedures on children that expose young people to irreversible harm.”

“The doctors assume a solemn obligation to protect children. Doctors across the country now provide needless and irreversible sex-rejecting procedures that violate their sacred Hippocratic oath, endangering the very lives that they are sworn to safeguard,” Kennedy said during the announcement.

“The American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, peddled a lie that chemical and surgical sex-rejecting procedures could be good for children who suffer from gender dysphoria,” he said, explaining that they have “betrayed the estimated 300,000 American youth ages 13 to 17 conditioned to believe that sex can be changed.”

“They betrayed their Hippocratic oath to do no harm. So-called gender-affirming care has inflicted lasting physical and psychological damage on vulnerable young people. This is not medicine. It is malpractice,” the secretary continued.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will release a notice of proposed rulemaking to bar hospitals from performing sex-rejecting procedures on children under age 18 as a condition of participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs. Nearly all U.S. hospitals participate in Medicare and Medicaid and this action is designed to ensure that the U.S. government will not be in business with organizations that intentionally or unintentionally inflict permanent harm on children.

A man with Down syndrome was admitted to Poole Hospital in Poole, England, for a broken hip after falling in 2021. ITV News reported in October 2025, “His hip was on the mend, but he was incorrectly listed as ‘nil by mouth’ by doctors during his time in hospital and was fed nothing for nine days.”

Adrian Poulton, 56, died of starvation.
