I just finished reading the book Heaven is for Real. One of Colton's experiences was that of seeing the future battle of Armagheten and how that the women and children stayed back while the men and Jesus were in combat. Colton told his dad that he(his dad) would be one of the fighters. Colton did not say that he,himself, would be, however. Colton was born May 1999 now making him 13 yrs. old. Ok, leads me to think that Colton will still be too young to be in this battle. That being the case, it would seem to suggest another indicator for the nearness of the rapture! Just wonder too how old a male would need to be to participate in this battle.

Ok, all you great watchers,my dear brothers and sisters, what are your thoughts on this? Hope I've made some sense!  

In the wilderness, God counted that generation that would not see the promised land as those over the age of 20.  My guess is somewhere in that range, give or take.

In Numbers 1:1 when the census was taken of the Israelites, it was of all the men is Israel, 20 years and older.

He's still twelve for a couple of months.  I thought that Jewish boys become Bar Mitzvah's at 13.  I'll go for a two month time limit.  At least for the next two months.  I did really enjoy that book. One of my agnostic nephews lost a child (stillbirth) and was mourning so I sent him this book to show him how to find hope.  I love the fact that the prince of peace painting which Colton identified as looking like Jesus. and the "Real face of Jesus" 3-d reconstruction off the Shroud of Turn looked the same.  And since you brought up Burpo, you get to see the video:

I thought of that Shomer Caleb after I posted then saw your post.  They are considered a man at puberty, but fighting with swords would probably go better a few years after puberty:).  On the other hand, I know His Holy ones are coming with Him at His return, but I'm not sure how much "work" we're going to be doing following Him.

Awesome find! I had to read that chapter again. Colton said he stood back and did not fight. His birthday is May 19, 1999. He saw his dad fight with either a sword or a bow and arrow. He saw Satan thrown into hell.

I came to the same conclusion- or the Holy Spirit dropped it in my mind- and have been discussing it with my much loved bro in law who has always been my Christian mentor.
Surprisingly he hadn't picked up on it and thought it a really important find.
I doubt youths under the age of perhaps 20 or so would be fighting with Jesus at the battle of Armageddon! Add 7 years of trib and IMHO it's definitely another sign of His close return!
On a personal note I believe the authenticity of this book 100%- unlike Choo Thomas book which didn't move me. But the spirit within virtually was leaping with joy and confirmation as I read. I couldn't have put it down had I tried and read it in one evening- and have since re-read parts I felt lead to.
One of the things that shone so brightly was the absolute and unconditional love flowing from Jesus- it made me weep, laugh and praise Him.
