I firmly believe that we as Christians KNOW the season....You have so many saying it now.You have turbulance in the world....Our savior said,"When you see all of this take place,Look up!!"Well...we are seeing it...Jesus would not say it and not mean it.

I get so sick and mad at myself for failing in the same areas of my life...I know I am covered in Jesus' mercy and grace and I thank him for it.We all fail.This verse I am gonna post just lifts me up.We are supposed to know the general time so that day does not surprise us.That is how I understand this verse.Sorry for my ramblings...Please read...I have felt as tho I should post this for several days now so here it is.

1 Thessalonians 5
The Day of the Lord
1 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord [a]will come just like a thief in the night. 3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then [b]destruction [c]will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you [d]like a thief;

I take "darkness" as a word with a dual meaning here...1) meaning our salvation and escaping the terrible days ahead and 2)being oblivious to the time or season...Both fit and work...Just my post for the week.HA!HA!HA! He is coming ...SOON!!

Thank you, Tony, for the encouragement. That verse is such an encouragement to me too. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard people quote "He comes like a theif in the night," as a good excuse not to watch for Him. And I cannot tell you how many times I have said, "Read the rest of the passage," that we are NOT of darkness that it will overtake us like a thief. Do you realize how powerful that is! God has set us apart, given us a promise that He will not let us who watch for Him be surprised by His coming! That is such a comforting thought. Thank you, Tony and God bless.

Tony and W&W - that was the verse that changed my life in 1988. I read it and had to go get a Bible to see if they were making things up. What a shocker to realize that I had read that passage multiple times and never had mentally processed the end of the verse. We really do see through a glass darkly now. But His light shines bright enough to see by, even through the shades.

Tony, maybe it IS that simple!

I have been asking the question regarding this Easter timeframe, "could it be this clear, this simple?" I have read those verses over and over again and I believe it right down to my core. But alas, the scars of this life have put a burden upon me that I often carry, and I think this is all too good to be true. But the wonderful thing is, Jesus is NOT too good to be true. His promises are NOT too good to be true. His Sacrifce for us is NOT too good to be true. It is ALL very much TRUE! And it's all even better than we could ever imagine!

We are NOT in darkness! God is not a liar! Praise the Lord He has opened our eyes to His soon coming!

Can you imagine the pure joy we would all have if we are Raptured Home to celebrate the Resurrection of our Saviour with Him in the Flesh?! What a Saviour! He makes my heart flutter!

Thank you, Tony, for sharing this. This is a group of Scriptures we who are watching and waiting know very well. Let us not become too familiar with them that we forget the very meaning and message of them. May this post fall on all who read it with a wonderful refreshing and confidence in our Blessed Hope!
