Sparkles, I lived in Folsom CA for 4 years while in High School...mom divorced and moved there.

My very very rich uncle had a vacation house on 17 mile drive. We would often take weekend trips down to there. It was always awkward for us......modest middle class hanging out with decadent rich just doesn't mix well. Our Nissan Maxima just didn't cut it.

San Luis Obispo, it's not very well known to most, it's rather small. Home of Cal Poly, mostly a college town but there is a military base nearby as well. I go to church in Paso Robles though, seems more down to earth there even though it's only 30 mins North of SLO :-)

About 2 hours or so down South Monterey (which is soooooo beautiful!). I think I read somewhere that Tom is out in this area too?

Yeah, I have this thing with organization and all the numerous prayer requests all over the place was hurting my head! :)

I wrote them all down and will be part of a mass prayer request list that I will do tonight. It's easier, so I can print it out and have it by my bedside and take it with me everywhere. I don't want to just throw out a "quicky" prayer, I want to repeatedly ask for healing and salvation for these folks, and the organized list will help me a lot! :-)

And with all that is going on in the world, we never know where the next target is. When I pray I would like to say, "Lord, A, B, and C live there, please provide your protection over them," instead of "please protect our RITAN family members who might be living over there." :D

I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. It would help us all because there are so many to pray for. Not just in our lives and on this forum, but also throughout the world. Every time I read a thread where someone needs prayer or something troubling in the world, I pray for them right away. This would help to organize it more. I have many written down in my spiral notebook and the list is more than a few pages.

I know we have all done this before at some point or another, but there are new members (and I actually saw but didn't participate as I was a lurker) and was wondering if we can do this again. I want to compile a prayer list (on top of the other one I have going) so that if and when something goes down in that part of the world we can pray for those members living in that area. After I get a lot of reponses I will make a list and put it up with region and names of members and if anyone wants they can print it up in case we need to pray for those members in an effected area. So I will start (just an area is sufficient):

Another day -- and this severe weather system seem to be INCHING along at a very slow pace.

Yesterday into today (14th into the 15th) was a truly amazing event to see unfold.. at the same time VERY TRAGIC.

Have severe weather plans ready to go at a moments notice ... make sure YOU and your loved ones know the plan well.. Shelter, communications, transportation, food, water, clothing.... all essentials after ANY disaster.

I remember lot of people stating in the past to have money on hand and food laid back because of a certain time that the banks will be closed to pull in this NWO monetary system..

I was hoping that this would NOT happen until after the rapture, but maybe we might go thru just a little bit of testing here before the rapture...

It is my considered opinion, that this will provoke the adoption of the "Mark of the Beast" system.

The U.S. dollar has been the world's oil-trading currency, known as the "petro dollar". I fully expect the "death of the dollar" to come on the heels of this announcement.

Likewise, Russia and North Korea will follow suit. Japan, who is no friend to Israel, may do so as well. Within 30 days of today, I would expect the Euro to fall by the wayside as well.

A intermediary, worldwide currency will be adopted, to be followed quickly by the full implementation of the "Mark of the Beast", electronic trading system. Perhaps as soon as April.

All of this has been done with the blessings of the U.S. administration. Why?

The first step, was to create the massive debt loads, thus ensuring the dollar devaluation.

Second step, was taken today.

Third step, as I've outlined above.

As a byproduct of these events, will be Martial Law. The current election campaigns by the way, serve as mere distractions for the masses, so as not to notice what is actually happening to the world, and the U.S. in particular.

I have read here and on Five Doves, many have been expecting something significant to take place on today, January 23rd.

It would seem, at least to me, that this qualifies as significant.

An "economic earthquake" if you like...

The Rapture certainly, again my opinion only, appears to be on the "event horizon". Perhaps by the 28th? Not date setting, but watching.

Caleb, you hit the nail on the head! The agreement between OPEC and the U.S., requiring foreign nations to purchase the ME oil in U.S. dollars, is the only thing propping up the "Almighty Dollar." I believe the REAL reason for the 2003 Iraq War was that Saddam was threatening to sell his oil for Euros... and Iran in now doing the same thing. Same cause, same effect. When that happens, either war with Iran will result, or the dollar - and the world economy - will plummet.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Joint military training exercises will be held evenings in downtown Los Angeles through Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD will be providing support for the exercises, which will also be held in other portions of the greater Los Angeles area, police said.

Training sites have been carefully selected to ensure the event does not negatively impact the citizens of Los Angeles and their daily routine,'' a department official said.

The training, which a department official said would involve helicopters, has been coordinated with local authorities and owners of the training sites, police said.

Police said safety precautions have been taken to prevent risk to the general public and military personnel involved.

The exercises are closed to the public, police said.

The exercises are designed to ensure the military's ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training certification requirements, police said.
