Praying for your husband.  I pray the Ephesian pray over my husband and have for months and months.

Ephesians 3:14-19   

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

 - I just substitute his name and pray.  It has born much fruit.  This man has had to come against some of the most taxing temptations on a marraige and the Lord is helping him.  When I sense he isn't plugging in, I have noticed that I have slipped in praying for him.  So, I assume it as part of my wifely responsibility to call his name before the Father daily and fervently. 

Just thought I'd share in case there is anything in there that might speak to you.

You are very blessed to be able to share your faith with your husband.  My husband is a Christian, but he doesn't share my strong faith or love for Yeshua.  He believes, but isn't interested in going deeper with me into things of the Spirit.  It's actually gotten to the point where I'm the one giving the prayer at Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.  I don't mind, but it's a little odd that the head of the table doesn't give the prayer...?  What evs.  All I can do is inspire him to live a better walk with Yeshua through my example.

I had a wonderful experience yesterday morning.  I pray with my husband every morning before he leaves for work.  While praying for Him, I sensed His presence and I sensed power, like it left me and went to him.  Yesterday afternoon, my husband came home and said the Holy Spirit was with him all day long.  Little by little, He (the Lord) gives me glimpses and lessons in these things.  It is awesome to see and be a part of.  I have asked Him that whatever gift or gifts I am to walk in that He has graced me with not be released until there is certainty that I will give Him the glory every time and for all of it.  I don't want to disgrace Him in any way.  That kind of things seems like a punch in the gut of Christianity and the world loves to take a bone like that and run with it.  Sorry, probably more than you wanted to know.  Blessings!

Wow, I've always thought, what kind of anointing must Peter have been walking in to the point that his Shadow could heal the sick! I am always amazed with this. I love the gifts of the spirit. Paul tells us to covet the gifts, but as Leroy said, nothing is greater than love. God's generals is an interesting book about people God used in signs and wonders, power houses such as A.A Alan to Smith Wigglesworth. There was a phase where I spent a lot of time studying these people. The book talks about their rising and falls. Some of them, the power went to their heads. To walk in such an anointing, God demands all of us. Our entire being, to be completely rid of the world and it's deeds, just as the apostles were. Yes, through the power of Jesus, we already have that same power within us, but it comes with a price. Spending time in worship to God, and those gifts become stirred within.
Anyone serious about the gifts of the spirit, I would highly recommend reading anything on Kathryn Khulman or Tim Storey. I'm not sure if any of you have heard of Tim Story? He moves heavily in the gifts of the spirit, gift of healing and word of knowledge. There are many videos of his meetings on youtube (same with Kathryn Khulman). In fact, several years ago he (Tim Story) came to my church at a convention we had. It was awesome and the power of God fell in the place mightily. People got healed all over the place. 
Anyone I see walking heavily in the gift of the spirit, the person is always driven and possesed by the love of God. They love people. It's all about Jesus and none of them. Trust me, God does not pour such heavy anointing on just anyone. It comes with a price and it costs everything. The apostles were also evidence of this. 

To live and breathe Jesus, to allow him to do that deep work in our hearts. Yes, we already have the fulness of Christ, but there is another level in the anointing that we can all walk in.

There have been times where I've ministered the word to people at difference places and then bam, the power of God hits. The power comes from the alone time in worship you spend with God. It's not so much wanting to move in power for the sake of it. You have to be driven by love. You have to want to see people healed. You have to be sick and tired of seeing people with disease. You have to have a heart of service, just like Christ. If we decrease daily in His prescence, Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost will increase.

I believe the enemy doesn't wish for Spirit-filled Christians to educate our brethren on the blessings of God they possess.  Scripture says we have ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Ephesians 1:3.  That's an amazing Scripture!  Not some, not a little, not none, but ALL.  To me, that doesn't sound like the gifts have ceased.

The problem with saying the gifts of the Spirit were for the Apostles only is the fact that then you get into the slippery slope that only the Apostles had authority.  If Christ gave the Apostles only these gifts, then the same argument can be used for authority over principalities and powers.  But again, Scripture says in Ephesians 1:15-23 (all emphasis mine):

15 For this reason, because I have heard of your faith (Spiritual gift) in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints,16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom (Spiritual gift) and of revelation in the knowledge (Spiritual gift) of him, 18  having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places , (Remember, we have all spiritual blessings in heavenly places where Christ is) 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet (What's under HIS feet is under OUR feet) and gave him as head (because He is the Head) over all things to the church, 23  which is his body (and We are His body), the fullness of him who fills all in all.

As the Body of Christ, we are united with Him just as He is united with the Father.  Therefore, we are blessed with all Spiritual blessings in heavenly places because God's salvation is assured.  He is faithful to do it (1 Thess 5:24).  This means He WILL glorify us.  This means we ALREADY have this authority.  It is not something "to come".  We ALREADY have Christ's righteousness NOW, amen?  If we are seen as perfect in God's eyes through Christ, then God views us as He views Christ.  As Matt Chandler would say, "Are you tracking with that?"

God looks at US and sees CHRIST. 

Christ is the Head, we are His Body.  We are ONE with Him.  One unit.  One authority.  We cannot do work without orders from the Head, and the Head cannot do work without the hands and feet of His Body.  If HE is above, WE are above.

Authority in Christ is not a "future thing".  We have been RAISED AND SEATED with Christ.  Ephesians 2:4-7 (all emphasis mine):

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (past tense, it's already done!) 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

We are kings and priests (1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:6), and God grants us to sit at Christ's right hand (Rev. 3:21).

If we have been given the authority of Christ, we also have the Spiritual gifts, folks.  We might not be able to use them "at will" as the Apostles once did, but now, we step out in boldness and walk in obedience.  Perhaps the manifestions of the gifts are rewarded due to you how closely you abide in Yeshua.  The Apostles abided in Him better than any Christian who has ever lived.  They were blessed with being able to walk, talk, and be directly taught face-to-face by our God.  We are not bestowed the gifts miraculously, as Andy points out, it is a journey to learn how to properly give God the glory and live in obedience by abiding in Him.

While I do not doubt some charismatics abuse the gifts or fake the gifts, this does not mean they are all charlatains. 

This is why we have the gift of discernment.  :)

The gifts are for the here and now and will pass away but Love is for eternity.

P.S. It hurt us to hear of your marriage...we pray for immediate healing and her repentance and salvation in the name of Jesus. Also, it noted down below that the healing ministry can not only Glorify God which is first and foremost but lead to REPENTANCE...powerful!

SPIRITUAL GIFT OF HEALING
 In I Corinthians 12:9,28,30 it says, “ to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit” (NIV). In the Biblical language healing means to effect a cure through God’s supernatural power. This gift is similar to faith. When a person with this gift hears of certain situations that need healing whether physical, emotional or spiritual, God seems to lead them to step out and affirm God through believing Him for healing. God gives them assurance in His ability and desire to work in the situation. A person with this gift feels free to ask God for His intervention without usurping His sovereignty. There is a deep understanding that they do not have a personal power to heal anyone, but that they have been given a great conviction to pray for healing and to believe in God’s power. Along with giving this conviction to pray, in most cases, God chooses to heal.

Benefits
This gift used in the local church can encourage faith and hope. Healing can often spark revival and repentance. God often used this as a sign gift to the Jews both in the Old and New Testament. The gift encourages those new in the faith. Healing ultimately leads to God’s glory.

Pitfalls
With any dramatic gift there are many people watching. There is temptation to “hero” worship the person with the gift creating an expectancy that is not of God. The result can be disappointment or bitterness when God does not answer in the way we think that He should. Pride can also be a problem causing someone with this gift to exaggerate, make false claims, or steer away from greater need so they do not lose their self importance. There is potential jealousy, fear of failure and anger if God chooses to use someone else too. It is easy to judge others that may not have the same faith in the situation that you do. Finally, there is temptation to acquire riches by using the gift.

Ministry Opportunities
This gift could be used in a visitation ministry to the sick and elderly. It could be part of a need based evangelism program. A person with this gift could be on a prayer team. There is also the call to a more private prayer life for those that we know that are sick and hurting physically and emotionally.

Further Training
This is similar to the gift of faith in that a journal will help you stay focused and trusting God when situations get rough. Meeting with others who have this gift or have the gift of faith or miracles will be beneficial. Reading the scriptures is good for encouragement and faith. Asking your pastoral staff at church for biographies of men and women that God has used this way will help your understanding.

The early church may have died, but God has never changed, nor will He. 

Lord, if you are willing.....He said "I will"......that's all I need to know.

God is LOVE> you are correct. i felt greatly blessed by this this day. thanks. i cannot forgive but i can ask God to give me the grace, it seems as if the whole world is letting me down at the moment. But Jesus is still there, carrying all the broken bits.

God is good. may the Lord come soon, in His good and perfect timing.

 Even today, I could go and play for ten hrs.  It is a strong addiction that is hard to break.  I am not totally free of the desire.   I can quote various scripture on this but Nic has said it all.   I read a book that a person went to hell and heaven and this matter was brought up with.  Let me try and locate that book for you.  It opened my eyes to the demonic world that is around us.  This is a serious subject, video game addiction.   Brenda,  I will continue to pray for you on this and for your family.  It may be a slow process for them to stop.  They are not lost, just on pause.  

I'd like to add these verses to go along with yours:

Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. God bless you all, it is really nice to "hear" your voices. =)  i'm still floating around, watching, waiting, walking. =)

my thought is this: man looks at the outward appearance of things, but God looks at the heart.  

let's start with addiction.  when a person is addicted to something, is the problem the addiction or the object of the addiction?  because they are separate things.

whether the addiction is to games, or sex, drugs, sports, even reading about end-times news, etc.  are all those things the same, and evil, or is the problem internal?  

the addiction comes from within, and is a form of idolatry to whatever object is being idolized. but it doesn't make those things evil.  they're just things.  they have no power save what we give them, and they can be used in right and wrong ways based on how we relate to them.

Jesus explains to the Pharisees in Matt. 15 how uncleanness is born out of our own hearts, and not from what we imbibe.

"Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. 20 These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.” Matt. 15:17-20

it's easy for us to look at something and just pass judgement on it, and consequently on all those who partake of it.  it gives us an external enemy we can focus on and blame, but in our zeal we forget both the truth of scripture and the consequences of our judgement on others.

the Pharisees did this again to Jesus in Matt. 11:19,

"The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children."

i'm sure many of them meant well, many loved God with great zeal, but in that zeal they made up a lot of laws and judgments to try and avoid sin, laws that went beyond what the scripture teached.  we should not repeat this mistake.

the fact is that we live in occupied territory, if you will.  an evil, fallen world that is strongly influenced by the devil and his ilk.  we try to purify ourselves by removing things that "seem evil" to us, like say video games or Twilight or whatever.  but this, itself, can be a deception, because we do not purify ourselves in the least.  we cannot make ourselves clean, nor can we escape evil by our own means.

even if we completely remove ourselves from the world (and you have to, if you're trying to escape evil) by going to live in a cave somewhere, there would still be evil there, because you brought it with you. yes, that includes me and you.  because we are evil.  our thoughts and desires are evil, because we are fallen and imperfect and fall short of the glory of God.

so what do we do?  it seems hopeless because we have no strength against evil and cannot escape it, it's all around us.

we rest in Christ.  Christ really did pay it all.  He really did make us clean.  Fully.  it really is finished and complete work.

i no longer have to be afraid of the world, or the evil around me that is sown by demons, humans, and even myself.  i no longer have to be afraid of judgement from God because i am perfected in His love.

this is what it means to be crucified to the world in Christ.  it has no power over me, save what i choose to unleash.

so i rest in the grace of God, and am free to live, love and share the good news of His redemption.

now, of course, this is not an excuse to sin or engage in repulsive behavior or desires.  of course not, God forbid!  how could i, because the sin is crucified in Christ and i live, reborn.  so why go back to death?  but that death, that sin and evil, can only be resurrected by me, from my heart, my choice.  it cannot be forced upon me, i cannot be unwittingly tricked into it.  no one has the power to take me from Jesus Christ.

watching Harry Potter, or playing World of Warcraft, isn't the same as engaging in witchcraft, or being a witch, or even desiring to be a witch.  it's just a story born in a wicked world by wicked people, and it has no power except what we give it.  it can be used for good or evil, based on the choices we make in Christ, because that's who we are first.  we should never forget that, both in the freedom we are allowed to exercise in Christ and in remembering that He is our God and we follow Him and stand with Him first, always.

finally, this is not to say that andy should go play Zelda.  far be it from me to dictate to him how he should live before God or what God has asked of him.  but it is for me, as a brother in Christ, to bring up Romans 14, which i encourage everyone to prayerfully examine in full.  here's just a small excerpt:

Romans 14:2-4

"For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. 3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. 4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand."

as for your husband, Brenda, if there's an issue with game addiction, please, by all means, talk with him about it and work toward a solution. even remove the game. i would say the same for an alcoholic.  you can't get over an addiction and still be around the object of your addiction.  it was the same for me and smoking.

but recognize that the problem comes from within him, not from outside of him.  the game didn't do it to him, the problem was already there.

Many of you have some interesting replies about these orbs in Andy's video and after reviewing the video a second time I noticed that there is an orb flying real fast in front of Andy coming down at an angle and just going at a hundred miles an hour; then we see the one zooming around toward his neck!!

I don't know what they are and I am sure he doesn't know what is going on in the video but just like in some of brother Todd's videos they both are receiving visitations from the other side both good and possibly evil!!

Watcher For Life I will go check out that youtube seeingufospa just for curiosity sake and then get back to real watching as we are starting to see amazing Kingdom signs come down the pike tenfold!!

More and more watchers are starting to see more spiritual phenomena now more then ever-it must be a sign that the Lord is giving us the keys to the kingdom!!

Watcher For Life - I got what you were saying about orbs. 

Let's lighten the mood: so my sister lived in a severely haunted house. But she didn't tell me. I went to visit her for a week and she put me in the haunted room! As I was packing my bags to go home she asked me if I'd noticed anything about the room and when I said no she went on and on and on to tell me about how haunted it was, etc, etc. I was like, "you did what?!!? Well I guess there's proof for you that God kept me safe and cozy and I felt like I was in a snug cocoon the whole week. God is our protector. I love him and I love you all.

I do apologize to you both if I sounded upset or sarcastic.  I would never disrespect anyone's hard hard, Watcher for Life.  I know it didn't sound like it, but I did take your research of orbs seriously. That's why I said tongue in cheek that it wasn't my idea of a good time to watch Andy being attacked by orbs.  I was disturbed that Andy was attacked, and I couldn't bring myself to watch that happening to him.  But instead of saying that, I conveyed my thoughts and feelings in dry humor, and it looks like it went over like a lead balloon. 

And Rapa happy, I think you're a sweetheart, I would never make a crack about your laughing at Andy for being attacked by orbs. As a matter of fact, that never entered by mind when I said what I did.

Again, it hurts me to think that I have offended anyone.  (Sigh.)

It's funny, well it isn't, but lately I have noticed the last two weeks that everyone is just a bit on the edge, ready to challenge other brothers and sisters, disagree a bit too strongly with posts made, etc. It saddens me and I just wonder if it's another avenue of attack? Disharmony and tension within our family. It could just be tension plain and simple. Let's keep the love in our hearts strong and support each other and not be hasty to take things personally. 

Like someone said to me once. Just because you said hi to someone you were passing in the hall and they didn't respond it doesn't mean they are angry with you or hate you, maybe their dog died last night and they simple didn't see or hear you." Bad example but you know what I mean.

I just get tired of people coming here and out of the blue disrespecting the 100's of hours of research I've done over the years.

I study it..I analize it...rinse and repeat..and they poo..pooh everything I've ever done...without them doing an ounce of research.

It's kinda like i've done landscaping for over 20 years, I put a guy on a job site, and he tells me he "knows" how to do landscaping...I get back from anotherr job site 2 hours later, and the guys that "knew" how to do landscaping....ain't got nothing done..yet I got to pay them for the non work they preformed.

i'm tired of doing my research/work and the people who are so well informed, telling me I don't have a clue...or at least insinuating it.

PS..Ive done landscaping for over 20 years!! lol

I also didn't take Watcher For Life's comments as negative in any way. He/She was just stating something observed. I think Andy's video was hilarious and I really enjoyed it. It made me laugh out loud which doesn't often happen. 

And I did think that the orbs were interesting in that I do believe Andy is on fire for Jesus and isn't it interesting that if the orbs are intent on quieting him then obviously they don't like what our Andy has to say. 

That's what I got out of it. I never for a second thought that the orb/trouble speaking was funny at all. I hope my comments didn't come across that way. 

Anyway my sincerest apologies if anything I said came across the wrong way.
