Awesome, Karen 7! I just recently completed another journey through the Book of Job and this poem reminds me of it except that your words do not challenge the Lord the way Job did. Your words are from the proper perspective of a child of God!

My favorite line is this:

can my heart contain your presence?

Staggers the imagination, doesn't it? :)

Oh gosh Yohanan, if God doesn't love you, I'm thinking He doesn't love me. And I know He loves me. He shows me all the time.

I don't think I can want Him more than He wants me....and I want Him pretty badly. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of Love in that equation.

My days are like a shadow.
I hunger for your presence,I wait the day of your return.
Cast out all my words, crucifying all that is within me.
you say can a man rob God?can we walks among you
without a flaw?can we endure all the changes that
we need?every passing day,I sit patiently waiting for
your return.my soul within me crys Abba Father."
will I walk among the fiery stones and not get burned?
can my heart contain your presence?can we enter into
your holy habitation?can we be pure without a
blemish? will you say "enter in" the blessed of my
father.?I have waited your return.I have been preparing
a place for you.have I robbed you my Lord? have I
been a good and faithful servant?have i prayed for my
enemies to sit before you at your banquet?does my

Tender Reed, I cannot express how this has touched my heart! What a beautiful poem. The imagery is very vivid. I couldn't help but spill a few myself when I read and re-read this:

Words of comfort I did hear,
as you gathered all my tears.

It's been just recently, and thanks to three people on this forum who've helped me get there, that I finally came to believe that the Lord loves me, me the individual as opposed to me in the collective. It's always been easy for me to see how God would love you, or TxThom, or Donna or everyone else but I've never been able to see it on a personal level, until just recently. So, all that to say, the image of God gathering my tears really overwhelms me. It's clear in my mind that He had you post this for me and others who have walked a similar path.

Thank you so much for thinking of me. I am truly humbled. I need to go find a kleenex now.

TR, I should have known you are a poet! You have a poet's heart! I've written poetry too, nothing too recent. My most recent one was likely a couple of years ago. Used to love writing poems as a kid, though. Still have most of them!

A sparrow falls

Remember when all things were new,
the sky, the sea, the morning dew.
Fields of flower, tree and star,
your Gardens planted near and far.

Then we drifted far apart, You in
the garden, me in the Ark.
Deep and wide my sins at heart,
no song for sparrow, or the lark.

Stillness falls upon all sound,
as this sparrow hits the ground.
Remember when we were friends,
You met me there, at rainbow's end.

As I wait for time to cease, I'll
watch and pray, till you please.
And when the oceans, You have dried,
you bid this sparrow, rise and fly.

With song I praise when I hear,
you saw my darkness and my fear.
Words of comfort I did hear,
as you gathered all my tears.

Lift me now with wings on high,
so to Your side, I might fly.
Once again we'll meet as friends,
over the Garden at rainbows end.

My pastor mentioned this in a class not too long ago: We are born-again believers, so we are facing Jesus as we walk forward down the narrow path. We "trip on our own feet" when we fall in sin (old nature), but we do not turn away from Jesus or off the path... we just fall onto our knees and in a heart of repentance ask for forgiveness of our sin. Then Jesus lifts us back up and encourages us to continue walking forward toward Him!! Such a picture of grace!

Not until our old nature dies and we are in our incorruptible bodies will we be free from sin. But rejoice loved ones... our redemption draws ever nearer!

I am nothing without my Lord Jesus Christ. He is the reason I live and breathe. I too cannot think of anything that means more to me than following Jesus and having him be the author of my life.
Thank you Jesus, you are so good to me.

He is the potter and we are the clay. We need to become flexible so that He can do good works in us so we can serve him better while we take up His cross daily.

The Parable of the Patches

What side of the fence are you on God's side?
Sitting on the fence in the middle?
Still on the worlds side not knowing if you should cross?

God is worth more than anything you could ever have to give up. Eternity with him is priceless.
Nothing I could ever desire compares to the beauty of God and Jesus.

You and me (although all has been forgiven because of what Jesus did on the cross) God is not finished with us yet. Let's be moldable in our father's hands to glorify him and Jesus Christ.

Dee, how wonderful to have a mother. My mother always stood for me, she had no regard as to the right or wrong of the matter, even if there was a question of wrongdoing. she would physically defend us, her children if it came to it. If I had need, she would give me the last dollar she possessed, or the last morsel of food. When momma passed, I wrote of my loss in a farewell letter that," I have lost my most staunch advocate". To those of you with mothers that yet live, appreciate your mother.

The posts on this thread are inspiring. I'm grateful to be in the company of so many folks waiting eagerly for the Rapture. We can all look forward to that fourth crown that the "eager watchers" will get, and then we'll lay those crowns at Christ's feet. I believe that Song of Solomon suggests a Pentecost Rapture, and Pentecost this year is May 19. I sure hope that THIS is the year that we are finally rescued. As the old hymn goes: "When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!"
