asked God why is the black sun event on the sixth seal also appeared on the Seven Trumpets Rev 8:12 and Seven Bowls Rev 16:8 by the fourth angel. To understand the seals we must understand the first clue which is the rising of a world empire which is Babylon and how an empire works.

The first empire is Babylon

The 2nd empire is the new Babylon called Persian

The 3rd empire is the new Babylon+Persian called Greek empire

The 4th empire is the new Babylon+Persian+Greek called Rome

So the Conquering empire doesnt abolish the old but just and addition to it. In the same way the seal is clue to God's dealing with mankind.
