This week has been a long 10 days of High Watch. Waiting to see if Christ Jesus was going to call His Bride home. Well, we all know it was not to be now. However, I believe I know why He has tarried once again.
I'll start at the begining .... The weekend of the 15th, my family gathered together for three days. My parents from the other side of the state were here, my brother and his wife were in town, my daughter and son-in- law with our three granddaughters, and about 8 others ... It was a weekend of life, celebration, love, and laughter. After church Sunday, Destiny and I were to meet my parents, once again, for a farewell meal. That afternoon I took the opportunity to witness to my parents one on one. Destiny and I have questioned their faith for a long time, and prayed many times for their salvation. They were all over the place with their beliefs. Reincarnation ... Who or what God is ... Religion ...The church. We questioned their spiritual lives ... period. Could they make the rapture? Were they even saved? At 85, could they survive the tribulation?
It's not easy witnessing to ones parents ... as many of you know. But they took it all in. I explained what we were seeing in the scriptures, in the world, and how important it is for them to believe in, and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. The ABC's if you will.( Accept - Believe - Confess ) ... And that very soon we were going to be called home. Sometimes you never quite know how one will react to the Truth, and I gave them both barrels. Time is running out for the world, and I had to speak out. The Holy Spirit moved within me, and I had to tell them about Jesus. Nothing came of it that day, nothing else was said. I guess I was to just plant a seed ... add a little water. God would have to do the rest.
Well the weekend was over, and Wednesday, the 19th, arrived. It was my birthday, and that evening the phone was ringing off the hook. Everyone was calling to wish me a happy birthday. Then my Dad and Mom called to wish me well, and Dad proudly told me that Mom had bought him a bible that day. It even had his name on the cover in gold leaf. It was at that point God revealed to me why He had tarried once again. He was still harvesting souls, and my parents were two who had been lost, but now were found. That had become the greatest birthday gift I had ever received ... ever.
So, now we know why God has tarried yet again. He isn't through harvesting. His children are yet to be gathered. His Bride is not quite ready. You never know, one of His own might be somebody you love dearly, and we wouldn't want them to be left behind would we?
Glory to God ... Forever and ever. Amen?
In Him, Always
