Could be, T.R. ~~  as horrible as the darkness is for these spirits having preferred it,  . . they couldn't stand the purifying, Lovely, Holy Consuming Fiery Light ~~ and would run deeper into the pit and' hide'~

There could be a 4th group...

I don't believe there will be anyone with the excuse of "I didn't know".  The scriptures says that even the stars speak of Him and so they are without excuse.
