I took my kids to the library today. I was in the playroom for toddlers with my 2 y/o daughter when I saw a folded up newspaper. Curious, I unfolded it to see what the headline had to say. I couldn't resist taking a picture of what I saw for you guys. It seems even the secular world is fascinated with the idea of the Rapture these days, or should I say, "poking fun at it"?
This book isn't a "Left Behind" clone, it's more of a social study on how people would react by different ways of coping such as joining cults and starting brotherhoods. It's not a religious book at all.

I read the article. The columnist calls the book brilliant, and both he and the author were talking about this "Rapture-like" event in fictional terms, as if it would never really happen. They're in for a big surprise! Even the unbelievers are "preparing" the masses, if in a round-about way.
