Whew, Gooner, it sure sounds like it, doesn't it? The only other time I know of where the holy temple was defiled was when Antiocus Epiphanes slaughtered a pig on the altar and erected a statue of Zeus in the Holy of Holies (the first AoD with an antichrist figure).
However, many, many Bible prophecies have double meanings (like the AC with the AoD). I believe you're on to something! I haven't heard about Psalm 79 in my last days studies. Strange, that, since it reads so obvious to me.

Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. ~~Psalm 73:25-26 (ESV)Posted 2 years ago #
