James, I hadn't thought a thing about the june bugs until you said that. I haven't seen any either, and they're ususally so many you can't shake a stick at 'em. Come to think of it, I haven't seen yellow jackets, and spiders either. We usually have several spiderwebs from garden spiders on the columns on my porch. None this year.

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”Posted 1 year ago # -
All of the June Bugs are at my house!
Seriously, we do have plenty, but I'm guessing that in Texas, it could be from the long extended drought. Maybe it's to dry for them? Chris N.

It could be, but not sure. Last year it was really dry here with a lot of fires around the area, and we still had a lot of bugs. We had a pretty big fire about a month ago, and the last couple of nights and today we've gotten smoke from the AZ fire, so that may be a factor. The only thing is we should at least be seeing the spiders and yellow jackets.
But if they're all at your house, I'll gladly let you keep them!!

hmmm I live in Texas and you are right, there are not so many Junebugs, but that is good...maybe not so many grub worms next year :)
I STILL have yellowjackets....well, less after I sprayed a huge nest that got my son in law :)
spiders? hmmmm not really looked for them, but the big writing spiders that are usually at my brothers (he lives in the country) are not there this year...will have to ask him

WEll.....the stink bugs are alive and well in the state of Pa. No shortages of them here.

The Witchetty Grub which look like a June Bug larvae is considered a delicacy by the aboriginal Australians here. My brother-in-law says they are quite good eating . . . might be worth a look in survivalist conditions!
